You are right until you replace Mr. All World receiver and athlete from last year you can not beat Longview, Marshall, or Sulphur Springs.

The offensive line has gotten so used to pass blocking that they have forgotten how to run block. They ingage the linemen and then that is where they quit, they need to continue to the next level and take out the linebackers. We should have been able to run at will last week against Poteet, their game plan was to stop the pass, they rushed 3 or 4 and dropped everyone else back if the handoff was not made. If we do not fix the problem everyone will look at this game and copy. Plus we have to stop all of the penalties, they are drive killers. I believe that we can play with Longview under this coaching staff, but we must fix the issues that are keeping us from being consistent.

That would be Gilmer's Defense, first correct punctuation and spelling, then you can try to predict football. So far not good at either.

This Daingerfield has all of the tools and atheletes to do what the others have not been able to do. They can not hope to stop Gilmer, but only to contain them, and out score them. Surprise them on both sides of the ball and play mistake free. In the past years Daingerield has allowed them to either beat them before the game starts or beat them in the first half and hang on. This game needs to happen every year so that both teams become better. Should be a great a game.

Continue the path that you are on and Texas High, Marshall, and Sulphur Springs will give you all that you want, but that is why we play the games. At least I can hope so.

It will be this arrogance that will eventually be your down fall. Gilmer is slowly but truly becoming the team that everyone loves to hate. Daingerfiled will probably not beat you, but you will get a reality check from a 2A team. The thing about great teams is just that they are a team, they know that they are good and do not have to beat up on people, tear them down, and pump their own chest all of the time. It happened to Celina, Sealy, Commerce, Daingerfield, Southlake Carroll, and it will eventually happen to you. The score was 47-7 at half time, one more touchdown would have been all that you needed. There are ways to hold the score down, and the coaching staff knows that. Also I have never seen the bench clear in a game that there was not some kind of sanctions for the football program. You can beat a lot of 4A teams this year, but Longview is not one of them. Just play hard and make East Texas Proud and finish this year with a title and help complete the East Texas sweep of 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A state titles.

PLEASE, they were 2-8 and 1-6, I will believe it when I see it, just one of those games that happens every year and Paris just happened to be on the bad end of it. If you use the logic that they are that good they would be rank high in the state and not next to last in their district. Keep the faith my brother, but I will have to be convinced.

I will believe it when I see the scores of the next few games. There is no way under normal circumstances that Greenville is that good. Sounds like to me that they caught Paris with players out and having a bad night and just ran up the score. We will see and I will be the first to admit it if I am wrong. But you do not all of a sudden become that good.

Rider was very fast on both sides of the ball and the SS QB looked very nervous and played well under the circumstances, had alot of problems with the crown on the field and threw the ball high most of the time, but all in all did a great job. It was another great 4th quarter for the SS Defense, they just seem to kick it up another gear. Great to see Shane back on a limited basis, made a great catch for a TD. The team is getting better every week, they just need to become more consistent on offense and tackle better on defense and they will be able to play with anyone.

Did anyone out there see this game? How could Greenville put 71 points on Paris? Is Greenville that good or did Paris just self destruct or not show up? Help?

Mcqueen will not play, the quarterback will be the coaches son who is a very good quarterback for the JV, the defense is having a very good week of practice and they may have to win the game.

The only way you can win is if you have two all state DB's, because # 17 will run wild and if you double him the rest will eat you alive. WH wins big, they have a very quick defense and you will not be able to run only against them and win.

WH wins big in this one and takes out all of their frustrations of being 0-2 and starts a great run to the playoffs.

Have you ever thought that maybe it is not that the other team is better it is that you are not fielding as good of a team as last year. By the way D'field is much better right now then they were last year so be prepared for more of the same.

Was on the 1968 state champ team, played in east west all star game with Arthur Moore and played in the Canadian football league for a while.

It has been my experience watching this coaching staff from SS the last two years is that they play contain in the third quarter and conserve energy for a big push in the fourth quarter and the defense always responds big in the fourth quarter. They also always change some things in the fourth quarter and confuse on defense and I think that was what was wrong with WH in the fourth quarter on offense.

The defense created the mistakes, the last two years we have owned the fourth quarter because of our conditioning program, please give credit where credit is due.

I heard this same talk last year and this defense is better then last year, so be prepared to eat crow come Saturday morning.
