Tatum ISD......they maybe Class AA but their stadium entrance, surrounding, and basketball gymnasium are TOP CLASS ...awesome.

I use to wonder why people would make comments when= 1) they don't live in the district 2) they have no reference for what they are posting 3) they have no clue what has taken place like panther pride-i've known coach Taylor to be a fine Christian man and I suspect he'd be the first to admit he's made mistakes and has things he would be the first to admit he's not and hasn't done everything perfect and I'm sure some things he probably would do different.....in the light of day everyone would have to admit that. I too hope coach Taylor isn't leaving SH for several reasons ;not the least of which is schools now days need as many Christian individuals as possible employeed if not for their spoken influence then how they carry themselves around others-which coach Taylor has always done in an upright manner.

Manster 77; hate to hear Bullard is losing the baseball coach...He appeared to be a very class act as the Panthers of Bullard and Spring Hill played each other..God's blessing on him in next phase...

Unless something changes in next 20 minutes-- this game looks to be called, along with every other game from Waco-to-Tyler-over-To Longview......huge band of thunderboomers, rain, hail, mostly-lightning.

Ought to be a good series-- walks & errors will be the deciding factor the further teams go-this will be no different. Only common opponetns, Crandal & Van; W.P. lost to Crandall 4-3 before district started and split series with Van...SH beat Van in predistrict and just got by Crandal. Suffice to say both squads are much different than they were back in April. Best of fortune to the Panthers--very proud of what you've accomplished.

Congratulations Panthers!!! 12-8 of Crandall in game #3................. Saw where Carthage Vs P.Grove will be 2 of 3 games; 1st & 3rd in PG, game #2 in Carthage...good fortune to both the 'Dawgs and Panthers!!! .................any rumors where SH vs Wills Point is tenatively scheduled?

Crandall 4 Spring Hill 3 in 11 innings. Great series that goes one more game tomorrow.......

Quick shout to all the 'Dawg and Panthers --best of fortune in this weeks playsoffs and hope both squads advance another week. Boys put it all out there; hit the field running, focus all your energy, and give all you have----you are experiencing what so many would never will.... Parents--encourage, enjoy, and relish these times with your kids......speaking from experinece it ends so much sooner that we want it to...

There were plans to upgrade the baseball field in 2010, new stadium seat back seating, new back stop/fence dug out to dugout, lighting upgrade, and a brand new score board, however, the new school was just beginning to be built and the powers that be didn't want to spend a lot of money renovating-if the field was going to have to be moved elsewhere(something about infrastructure going right thru teh outfield.. Well-since that time several changes have been made--and the powers that be knew where school finance was heading.....so it's not gonna happen for a while.....all told there are lots of worse places to play baseball--and the grass/field is beautiful...

Going to be a tough round for both squads. Crandall lost by 1 run to tough Crockett(2A) and West(3A) in warm up games. Looked over Crandalls schedule and the did play some historically tough baseball programs this season--but so did SH. As a friend of ours from the SH area always says "walks and errors will kill ya" and this time of year--it will be very hard to over-come walks and errors.....we'll see which squad brings their A game. I hope the best for the Panthers.....

This was discussed in another "thread"...SH had PItt, Carthage, and Henderson all in a row....so you pick your posion in this district. If you look at the scores Carthage even had some "scares". As for the #3 that is laughable-- SH has a senior pitcher who is very talented and basically the #1, the two kids who did the majority of picthing(split evenly or close) behind Brown were dead even in my opinion and if you talk to anyone form both towns they will tell you it was 3-1 final-but 1-1 going to the sixth. SO the kid lost, who know, we could've pitched Brown and still lost--it's baseball......and judging by how much trouble the Dawgs had that night against the SH kid I suspect Hector threw him for that very reason.......My opinion is Goldman is one of the best in Texas(he proved that beating SH two years ago in Region Finals-he made ALL the right moves and they worked, mainly he had their kids knowing they could win) ..and the rest is history. Hector has always been able to get more out of kids than anyone else and he knows the game--

I suspect the coach saw something in what kind of pitching Carthage hits well and tried using the #2A(the 2nd and 3rd pitchers are pretty equal).....baseballs a funny game; you can have all the talent,but, if you can't throw strikes and play defense you will not beat a lot of teams. I agree with pantherpride--Carthage is a good team, I see SH just as good, but Carthage always has played well under pressure. I don't care if SH had 1 error or 10 when they played Carthage the score says who is better-- as Bill Parcells says "you are what your record says you are", Carthage is district champs and well deserved. SH should do well in the playoffs- and we are proud of them.

WAIT A MINUTE--how can education be in trouble? Seems to me the state promised once the lottery was voted in all eduation expenses would drop......what a joke. SO where is all the revenue gone????
