I could be wrong (it's happened before) but the only meaning I have ever seen or heard of associated with that symbol is to finish someone off. And you are totally correct about that time out.

Going to be a good game....Yoe has the experience and history...but I just feel Brock may surprise them. Going to be close but I feel the urge to pull for the underdog...so going with Brock with a last minute drive to win....

LLion- then I will complain about the Refugio coach pointing at at least one (heard about more, but saw one-Kevin Johnson- with my own eyes) of the Wildcat starters and making a slashing motion across his throat. Telling his guys to intentionally hurt a member of the other team is classless no matter what the score.

Sat with Canadian fans last year at their State Championship game- great, classy group. Have to go with Canadian by 2 TDs....they have an amazing, focused team!!!!

Accordint to the UIL website, handmade noise makers are allowed....such as our shakers....just no airhorns, etc

Totally agree......and have to add that the Idalou fans were amazing as well! Idalou has a class program all the way around. I love my East Texas football and think it to be the best in the state, but after Sonora last year and Idalou this year.....have to admire that West Texas football as well!!!!! Congrats on an outstanding season...now reload for next year!!!!

Only problem with this is that is shows ALL passing stats....We have 2 QBs.....and both have passing attempts this year.

I think you have a very valid point about the generation gap.....I have been on Smoaky for several years (since 2003) and I have seen a change in the tone of many threads. HOWEVER..... Being a Waskom fan, I can say we do get tired of hearing/reading about how we are too small, too this, too that...only good/winning because of one (or two) players. Brings out the fight in many fans....and would for fans of any school. I remember when Waskom and WR battled for the BOTTOM of the district instead of the top.... It is nice to see both teams having great years. But I still stick with my earlier prediction..... Waskom 35 WR 21 It will be an awesome, smashmouth, East Texas style playoff game. Glad we won't have to sit in the rain to watch it!

And for the earlier post about bandwagon fans who had no posts from before the state semi-finals season...check the profile...I have been on since 2003. Guess I am an old geezer next to some of you young pups who know it all..... Waskom 35 WR 21 Chan and Mike Reason will be in the Raider backfield all night long Jason Jinks will have another outstanding game. Keileon Johnson (#2) will have an amazing game on both sides of the ball. Dylan Harkrider will pass for 100 yards or more. Kaleb Haynes and Eric Stephens III will each have at least one receiving touchdown. Our O-Line and D-Line will dominate the line of scrimmage. And Waskom will hear all week again about how all we have is #15......

Proud of DeKalb for making it to the playoffs....shame they have to come up against the Mighty Mighty Wildcats in the first round...... Waskom 40-0 tonight.
