DField is an interesting one. It has been several years since the two have played, prior to the Gibson era. think it comes down to just trying to find someone to play. I know PG has tried Sulphur Springs and Mt Pleasant in the past, but has had no luck.

Hearing this is PG’s non-conference schedule. This is not the correct order of when they are playing. Sunnyvale, Dangerfield, Kilgore, Atlanta, Paris

Based on some of his golf scores from tournaments, he should play college golf. A lot easier on the body and its a game that he can play to an old man.

Not surprised he got a AD / HC position. Very well thought of and respected at PG. I look for him to work towards building a culture similar to what PG has.

Ancient or not, nothing like seeing a team just exert their dominance on a team in the trenches. With the right athletes and precise execution, the wing t / slot t is fun to watch. A win is a win regardless of the offense.

I could not tell if he stepped out of bounds from where I was sitting. It was not a good pass in my opinion. Like poster Tex85 said, even if it was a good thrown ball, the call may not have been made at that point in the game.

Correct. A better thrown ball that was in bounds and deemed catchable would have warranted a PI call.

I think the 8th grade teams split and PG 7th won both. Again, you don't know who is going to come and go each year. Not convinced it is going to work out at T High like some of those guys think.

My opinion 17 is because of the OL and DL play. People get hung up on a style of offense. All I care about is winning, not necessarily style points. I am good with a 2-1 baseball game involving small ball as long we we win.. I thought the wing t was exciting when it was executed properly. Plus, PG was throwing out of the wing t. I do realize that it has it limitations.

Folks have been saying PG would be average after 17 18 19 etc classes graduated. They have some young talent in the lower grades and with the facilities that are coming as well as open district...PG will be just fine. Some people put way too much into this year's team. They were a really good team, but not the best team to come through PG.

Gibson needs to tell the PG parent running the Texarkana Friday Nights Lights page to remove the posts regarding officiating. This entire saga about officials is embarrassing.

He should had said the program does the recruiting by being successful. He knows no one from PG is going out and actively recruiting. You will always have some parents or friends trying to get kids to transfer schools. Have a winning program and parents will find a way to get their kids in it. No different than what is happening at other places that win. One would be a fool to go actively recruit a kid with the technology today from cellphones. Can you imagine a coach being setup by actively recruiting a kid. It would be all over social media. I do agree it sounded bad when he said it.

How much is too much by letting the teams play? If it is hands to the face, call it. If it is holding or illegal man down field, call it. I don't know anything about this crew. Have they let the teams play all year of just this game? The officials did not affect the outcome of the game. There has been so much talk about the officials that I found it interesting yesterday when I heard the comment on the radio show.

In regards to the officiating, 107.9 The Fan had on one of the PG announcers yesterday afternoon to discuss the game. The comment was made by one of the officials before the game in the press box that "they" were going to let the teams play. I personally think you need to call the game as it should be.

Not sure why you are getting bent out of shape on this. As of last week, Wheeler may commit to Missouri State. Wheeler listed his top 3 as MS, Lamar, and OBU. OSU and Boardley parted ways back before the season. Phillips has a Harding and SAU offer too. Not sure where people are getting 8 D1.

The majority are women. I have never seen so much whining and crying. Take the loss and move on. It came down to coaching, depth, Carthage OL and DL, turnovers, and taking advantage of the opportunities. Carthage made the plays in the end and PG did not.

Wheeler has been offered by Missouri State and Lamar. They are D1, not Power 5. Boardly does have an offer from Arkansas State. They are D1 too, not Power 5. I don’t even know who the other ones would be.

Tulsa and AR State are D1. I think some other kids have had offers from those type of schools. A lot of people think everyone is D1 nowadays. I tend to focus on kids that can play Power 5 football.

Schools can pull their offers. I have not heard anything to believe that they have. I believe the 3 seniors are early enrollees so they plan on signing and leaving in January.
