  1. I found this site. It may help some of you with your enquiries. http://pineywoodssports.com/athletics-news...larship-classic
  2. Found it...sorry. District 11 1-A Evadale (3-0) at Colmesneil (1-2) 2A Tarkington (1-2) at Hull-Daisetta (1-2) Lovelady (1-2) at 2A Groveton (2-1) West Sabine (3-0) at 2A Waskom (2-0) West Hardin (2-1) at 2A Kountze (1-1) :hmm: Any thoughts???
  3. No, sorry to disappoint you, but I have no affiliation with the school...honest evaluation of the way I see it. Good luck Hemphill against Joaquin.
  4. Sounds like a case of the blame game to me. Frontrunners point the finger elsewhere, when the truth can be found directly in the mirror. As for this past week, move on and go forward. One game does not a season make. Remember, a very talented group of kids at Shelbyville went 1-18 under the coach mentioned in an earlier post. He was a good coach, but the reality is that as players and coaches, responsibility for wins and losses is shared. Get on the same page, and don't rally for a changing of the guard because of one loss. Getting beat 33-12, 33-0, or 33-32 is not necesarrily indicative of getting "outcoached." Finally, be careful what you wish for. Your head coach and others on the staff are good people, as you say. If your goal in life is to get more wins, to the playoffs, area, regionals, or state, and you will tear down "good people" to acheive the same, then that speaks volumes! Let "good people" (who, incidentally, are not just coaches but teachers in the classroom as well) lead you. You will find that the ones who have a vision beyond the game will be the ones who succeed in the long haul. I wish all the players and coaches from Hemphill the best for the remainder of the season. Come together and you will all be fine.
  5. West Sabine moves on to round two with a 6-1 win in game three. The Tigers bounced back from a 14-5 loss in game two. West Sabine will be playing Douglass in Shelbyville next. Game 1: Thursday, May 13 @ 6:30 Game 2: Saturday, May 15 @ 12:00 Game 3: Saturday, May 15 30 min after Game 2
  6. West Sabine @ Sabine Pass Gm 1: 6:30 @ Kirbyville Thursday, May 6 Sabine Pass @ West Sabine Gm 2: 4:30 @ Kirbyville Friday, May 7 Sabine Pass and West Sabine Gm 3: 30 min upon completion of game 2 @ Kirbyville
  7. I believe your assessment is on the mark, but I would take exception with their defense. Take away some early-season special team gaffes, and they have pretty much dominated the opponent defensively. This team could easily be 6-0. But, I guess alot of teams could be saying that. Anyway, tough, well-balanced district.
