Well when you say "Carthage fans" that's talking about all of Carthage fans that are commenting on here. So, if you're not talking about me in that group, put "some Carthage fans". Otherwise, I'm going to think you're implying that I'm in that.

Lol I said that over on the Silsbee board last week. Because I said I thought we would win and they called me cocky.

We out gained Silsbee 493-243. Carthage’s defense shut down Silsbee QB who entered the game with more than 2,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards. He was 11 of 23 for 123 yards and was limited to 55 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Spearman ran six times for 25 yards and two scores, but Carthage held Silsbee to 105 yards on 29 rushes. So, no I think they had a bit of trouble moving the ball.

Lmao I never said any of those things and I sure didnt say running QBs are the only thing that gives us trouble. I said its going to be easier to defend a one dimensional team than it is for them to defend us. Since you are so stuck on the Center game, let me give u a few stats, Carthage had 252 yards rushing in 38 attempts while Center had 247 in 45. We had 200 passing yards in 14 completions while Center had 74 in 10. So I guess what I'm saying is, I still don't get your point. Yes, they can run. Okay, they've had a tough district. But Carthage is no stranger to tough districts, yeah, we got moved to an easier district but we won state in the District of doom. And no, I'm not saying the teams from years past will win the game Friday. I'm saying we won those titles because of the players and their talent yes, but a lot of it has to do with Coaching. What else I'm confused on, you say you haven't said who you think will win, but yet you're so set on trying to down Carthage. If you went to all the games you said you did, why? If they have a weak district, blah blah, why take time out to watch them just to get on here the game before state and try to discredit them?

Okay, so what's your point? El Campo can run the ball. Ok. They only threw for 69 last week. So defend the run. Our QB in the Center game alone had 200 yards passing. Tevin had 218 rushing. I don't think we have a lock down run defense. But it's gonna be a hell of a lot easier to try to defend the run and make EC get into passing situations than its going to be for their defense to try to stop our passing/run attack.

No genius. Simply stating that he had virtually 3 yards a carry with our key defensive guy in. Well, obviously that successful 149 yards wasn't enough to win against us so, looks like it'll take a bit more than that to get the job done.

Excuse me, he wasnt running all over them when the whole defense was there. Golden is a key part of that defense.

Then you should know KJ had how many yards against us? 149. He had 83 yards on 10 carries after Golden left, but only 66 yards on 23 carries with Golden in the game. So he was averaging what? 2.8 yards a carry? Wasnt exactly running all over our defense.

We only returned 3 starters on offense and 5 on defense last year. And we lost to a very good Argyle team. Carthage is sooooooooo good. Think we've proved that. One off, rebuilding year? So what? When was the last time El Campo won state?

Because eventually, you're going to meet a defense that defends the run so well that your only option is going to be to throw the ball.

No matter the outcome, both teams should be proud they made it the the semi finals. But I'm sure you know that. Can't help but think your account made today was just made to help stir up some trouble.

Oh don't worry. We can underestimate El Campo all we want. But the people that really matter will be prepared. Coach Surratt will make sure of that. But u might want to remind some people down your way of that too. Saw one player post on twitter, "gotta play in Beaumont this Friday then on to Jerry's world." Seems like he might be overlooking Carthage just a bit.

Well no, the difference is Carthage plays them this week. We're not skipping forward a week like you did. And trust me, go look up el campo players and fans on twitter, they're giving Carthage no credit whatsoever, they just haven't found their way to this board.

You're kidding right? Carthage had more turnovers than Silsbee and STILL scored that much on them. Problem for Silsbee was, Carthage was the better team.
