  1. 5-3 Lost to Tarleton, Utah Tech, and GCU Missed foul call on the last SFA possession that could have tied it, but you can't expect a whistle on a last possession shot. Remaining schedule is pretty tough...A lot more losses to come vs. Cal Baptist vs. Utah Valley @ Tarleton vs. UTRGV @ UTA vs. ACU @ Seattle @ Utah Valley @ Cal Baptist @ GCU vs. Southern Utah vs. Utah Tech
  2. Grand Canyon trails most of the game, but comes back to knock off SFA by 2 in Nac...
  3. Doesn't matter. A lot of money for a DH the next two seasons...
  4. Good news on the Tucker front. They avoided arbitration this year, which I think bodes well when it comes to resigning Tucker. He has expressed interest in staying in Houston for the long term. Bregman on the other hand looks like he could be moving towards the trading block... I feel comfortable with the pitching right now. This has to be a put up or shut up year for Whitley. We should also be getting glass arm, bury me in the H, McCullers back in the second half of the season. C - Diaz 1B - Abreu 2B - Altuve SS - Pena 3B - Bregman LF - Dubon/Alvarez CF - McCormick RF - Tucker DH - Alvarez/Dubon SP - Verlander SP - Valdez SP - Javier SP - France SP - Brown Bullpen Pressley Abreu Urquidy From there it gets a little hazy...
  5. Dabo's stock has already peaked. He couldn't keep a good thing going at Clemson because he refuses to adapt to the times. I'll be interested to see what happens with his career arc now...
  6. So many big gigs open or expect to open. A lot of guys are going to get some major raises just by floating their name out there. Harbaugh likely out at Michigan Saban out DeBour possibly out at Washington (Seattle?) New England Patriots open (I think it will be Vrabel or Mayo, but who knows) Seattle, Atlanta, LA, and Las Vegas all open. This might be the most intriguing offseason when it comes to coaching changes in a LONG time. The domino effect is going to be something else...
  7. Bonus for milestones. 100+ rushing/receiving. 350+ passing. Negative for missed XP/FG. INT. Fumble.
  8. I want Cleveland or KC OROY - CJ Coach of the Year - Demeco Executive of the Year - Nick Caserio (Never thought I would say that)
  9. I’m cool with whatever. I just say we stick with Sleeper. Loved the app
  10. Taylor will be just fine stepping in for pops
  11. They will and should, but good on South Alabama teammates for covering for their guy. Bigger thing was how few Eastern Michigan guys came to defend their guy. Tells a lot about that kid and how his teammates felt about him…
  12. Just disband the program already. There is no support. There is not growth or future until they can truly commit to building a DI program. I love baseball, but this is embarrassing.
  13. Can’t wait for my political/non-political (who knows) victory speech. Do I lean left? Right? Don’t care? A mystery until I win it all…
  14. I loved Ivey early. Said the right things and made what looked to be great hires. Now…Not so much Football (Carthel) - Rebuilt the program. Great sound bites. Stuck in the mud and regressing. Volleyball (Humphries) - Before his time GBB (Bishop) - A lot of turnover due to success. Seems to hire well there. No complaints MBB (Keller) - We were spoiled by Underwood. I don’t think Keller is bad, but he is too inconsistent since losing Underwood’s guys. Brings in good talent and watches them transfer out. Softball (Jackson) - New hire. Due to success of program. TBD Baseball (Cardenas) - Love the guy. Bleeds purple. He’s gotta go. Soccer (Williams) - Program is a dumpster fire. Minatta was a disaster. Bowling (Lemke) - Great coach. Most consistent program. Just a nasty scandal where coaches husband got caught hooking up with a player. Facilities - Massive upgrades to WRJ were nice. Soccer has improved immensely. Everything else is stuck. Need to cut baseball until they are ready to fully commit to building a legitimate DI program. He had a great plan when he came in. I know it takes time, but we seem stuck in the mud. He needs some pressure on him.
  15. Go Army! Beat Navy! That is a bucket list game that I want to attend with my brother one day (He is currently in the Army).
  16. It’s time. He did his job, and then he has torn it down. Shows how good of assistants he had, and the impact of losing them. Great for sound bites, but dude is struggling. It’s time SFA. Move on. Cardenas can go too (I know baseball is a ways off, but I heard some horror stories this summer)
  17. Dana Brown did an interview yesterday. They are looking to replace Maton, Stanek, and Neris. They are also looking for a new backup catcher to play behind Diaz. My biggest fear for the organization right now is Bagwell. He is the Astros version of Jack Easterby. He is poison to the org... BTW...Espada needs the HC job. He was in line for the White Sox job and if I remember correctly, he backed out. Hopefully it is because he was promised the gig when Dusty leaves. Ausmus would be a terrible choice. He was bad in Detroit and LA. No need to bring his whining to Houston....
  18. Huffman defeats Carthage 3-0 (25-15, 25-6, 25-15) Regional Quarterfinals: Huffman vs. Bridge City
  19. Non-Political? Moderate? Libnut? I guess the world will never know...
