Could someone, anyone shed some light on why Coach Mcfarlin from Whitehouse did not get a new contract. I may have missed something but it seems to me that the board at Whitehouse might need to re-think their logic.

Phi, ND could beat Dekalb by 11, but it is going to be tough, Dekalb can be really tough at home and it depends on which ND team shows up. EF should beat PP, but beating Dekalb by 11 is going to be hard because of ND defense. Time will tell.

Well it is not going to matter now since Waskom had to forfiet their games, PP will be in the playoffs because we lost to them and should have beat them 2 touchdowns. This will be Diana's last game Friday and we should have been in the playoffs.

I don't understand why the defense is not better than they are playing because we have good athletes, The Eagles have a lot better talent than their record shows.

Phi, I hope you are right, because the ND defense can't stop running water. The Eagles we will just have to outscore them, because we will certainly not stop them from scoring.

I haven't seen EF but looks like both EF and ND are a little weak on the defensive side of the ball. ND has some pretty good kids that can move the ball and if they can keep from making a bunch of mistakes I think the Eagles could outscore the Jackets. It should be a good game.

After ND give up 20 points to LK, I think the only way ND can beat EF is to outscore them. EF give up 55 to HS, ND give up 43 to HS, EF scored 14 on HS, ND was held scoreless against the Mustangs, my prediction ND 28 EF 27. It should be a good game if both teams play hard.

Very important game for both teams, can the Eagles pull off the win or will EF bounce back.

BGR, not everyone from ND feels this way, I was born and raised here and the OC and ND game has always been a big game and there has always been mutual respect from both teams and communities, I have friends in both towns and have always respected the kids from OC as well as the kids from Diana. We as most small towns north of Longview are growing and some of the people moving in do not know or understand the intense but respected rivalry that ND and OC have always had, so please do not think that everyone in Diana feels this way . My kids are goods friends today with some young men and women from OC that they competed against in high school and have always had respect for these people and I know the feelings are mutual.

ND may beat LK, but they will end the season 5-5 EF and Dekalb will beat the Eagles and I will be surprised if LK does not beat them. The eagle defense cannot stop running water. And like the old saying goes offense sells tickets and defense wins championships. The Eagles will be playing BB in 3 weeks.

Prayers from Diana to all the families involved, my daughter and son-in-law are good friends with James and Ashley and this is heartbreaking to everyone. You are right, these two teams have given fans some good memories, back in the early 80's when Mark Mottley was a senior ND went to OC as a 4-5 team facing the 9-0 Rebels. On paper there was no way ND could beat the Rebels, but the intensity of this rival made the undermanned Eagles reach down and play with some heart that some of these kids didn't know they had. With the 110% effort from the Eagles they did beat a very much better ball club. I think the score was 14-7 Eagles but it was a huge victory for ND. Anything could happen tonght so don't miss this game Go EAGLES.

If the Eagles play up to their talent it will be a long night for OC. Guys stay focused on the task at hand and wreck the Rebels. ND Eagles 45 Ore City Rebels 13.

Vernon, I want my hometown Eagles to roll, but you are right, if the kids in ND think they will have a cake walk Friday night they are in for a big surprise. If the Eagles are not ready to play like last year when the Rebels thumped us pretty good, we will get another Butt Whipping. Go Blue, it's homecoming and if there is one thing the EX's hate to see is the Eagles being beat at homecoming by the OC Rebels.

This will be a great game but the district champs will be crowned in Gilmer the night Kilgore comes to Tator-Town. I will not miss that game if the good Lord allows me to be around at that time.

Well if you live close to lake of the pines you need to drive to New Diana Eagle Stadium and watch a very long and bitter rival game between the Eagles and the Ore City Rebels. 6 Miles seperate these 2 schools and it will be a war no matter what either teams record is. Class 2A New Diana's Homecoming, it should be a good game. It will be a good game as long as the Eagles win it. Come on over but be sure to bring Opie, Barney and my ole buddy Otis Cambell and Earnest t Bass.

I don,t know who is going to win this game but I believe DK will have to leave Friday morning to get to EF by kick off time. Man this is a long trip.
