HS 1988, Coach Hargett might not be able to help but I bet you that you are thanking the good Lord he is not coaching the Eagles right now. You must have been on the bad end of one of those Willie Hargett led butt-whipping when you played for the ponies.

Ok I am going to be serious here. I would not be surprised if HS won the game, ND is still learning under a new head coach but with this being said, the Eagles will show up and they will play hard and it could be a lot closer than some people think. It might be a whole lot closer than some people think. I have seen some very good games between these 2 schools in the past and I can assure you ND will play hard as will HS.

Talked with the Head man at Eagle nation just today, said the Eagles will forfeit the game since no one gives the Eagles a chance. Matter of fact, I think every team in the district is going to forfeit their game with the mighty Mustangs. No use taking a chance on getting all the players getting hurt since the Stangs are so dominate. I think they might possibly be the greatest 2A team ever to play the game. I see state championship written all over the mighty Mustangs. Most dominating team I have seen. But good luck to the Eagles if the Sup. makes the coach let the Eagles play. I hope the Eagles can pull it out but my prediction is HS 459 to -3 for the Eagles. After what I have read this is as close as we can come to the mighty Mustangs.

The puppies were up 28-13 late in 4th, do not know final.

If they lose to many and have to go outside to hire, I know a man that would do a great job if you could get him.

Bad time of year to be looking for an AD and head coach, good luck maybe they will stay within and keep someone already there.

I am thinking PP, will win the district, with HS 2nd, and a war for third with ND,EF, and DK. But if PP or HS has a let down anyone one of the 3 other teams could be in the hunt for 1st, or 2nd. I going with PP simply because they are PP.

Champ, I would love to see the Eagles in the playoffs, they have the talent, if it all comes together they will be pretty salty.

You had better not overlook ND, I know they have a new coach and will be a little behind when the season starts, but they have some pretty good talent and could fool some folks if things come together.

etex, I do wish the new coach good luck and I want you to tell me since the board meeting what I have said negative, I did want them to go in a diffrent direction, but that is my opinion. At least I have an opinion and don't sit around like you and make my mind up because of what other people are saying. You would be a good board member because I can see that you would just rubber stamp everything that comes along instead of speaking your mind. Don't feel sorry for me I have a great life.

Bluelion is right, the kids he coached at UG was never overly talented kids. but they would get after your butt, they played hard and gave everything they had, that is all you can ask a kid to do. Coach Moore also surrounded himself with good coaches, one for sure in Willie Hargett.

Well if what I am hearing is true, I don't blame him for leaving, if your Administration takes away your ability to decipline these kids or any kids then you are in trouble. I do not know where the order came from but it was either the Supt, or the board that came down on Coach Adams and if they don't change their thinking they will have a hard time keeping anyone.

You know, I do understand that small towns have their village idiots, so do larger towns, but if you think that the people in this community are village idiots because they realize a coach should have been in place 2 months ago is being a village idiot, then I say you might be one of us, maybe from a larger town. I wish Coach Ratliff all the luck in the world but he is going to be way behind where he should be at this time of year. Only time will tell and he might love it here, I hope he does because the kids do not need to have to learn another system in a year or two.

That is what I heard, I hope he is ready to perform some jobs that he has not had to do in the past, ND is strapped for cash and he will be doing somethings that he may not like to do, time will tell. My prediction is that the board at ND will be doing the same thing either next year or the year after, hunting an AD. To bad for the kids, but then again, I really don,t think the board cares.

Well from what I have been told it has been decided, an asst. coach from Caney Creek ISD is going to be the next ND AD. He has been the off. cord. for 2 years at Caney Creek. This should be a perfect fit for the Eagles of New Diana. They will being going thru this same process in another year or two so the saga continues. If the people in ND are smart they will be at the board meeting Monday night the 14th, and express their opinion, It might not change anything but at least the board will know how the community feels.

However far they live from the school since Harleton has already beat them.

Lookin, you could be right but I would think that the board had to have picked a new committee, I just don't think that the committee thay had would do so without having some long meetings with the board. The one they picked is the one they wanted.
