You are so right trip, I know the booster member and I know for sure of 1 community member that was on the board at one time just to get rid of Willie and when he found out that he could not do it alone he resigned. But we all know who he is it is and we alll know his agenda, very sad to be so empty in life that the only way to be happy is to try and destroy another person.

This is not politics, this is totally lying and false statements about a man that has given his life to coach and teach kids. The people who did this know that these were lies but yet they felt the need to do anything to get what they wanted. They do not want anyone that will make their little babies behave like young men. You people know who you are, how can you look at yourself in the mirror. Willie did not lose out on this deal, the kids at New Diana ISD are the ones that lost. I hope you people are happy now. Bird, I know what was said behind closed doors and it is the biggest bunch of garbage I have ever heard. It is sad when a person or person's start lies and rumors about a coach or anyone else as far as that goes because they don't like them or would rather have something else. The person or person's that started this BS should be brought in to face this man face to face and tell him what they said. It is also sad that the board would listen to such rumors and lies and not let the man respond to what is being told. I have known Willie Hargett for 30 years and all I can say is that this person or person's that started this BS is a liar and the truth is not in them. But then again this is not the first time a bunch of lies and rumors were started in Diana. Instead of coming to the board meetings and telling the board what your beef is with the man, you sit back and start rumors and tell lies because it gets other people stirred up. All I can say is whoever started this stuff and whoever believes this garbage is garbage.

Bluebird, now that you have hired the UG coach, who are you going to hire at ND, you must be on both the school boards because you know everything.

GWAL, Sabine used to be in our district back in the 70's, they always had big ole boys and had some talent, but they just did not seem to really care, I know they did and they would really get after you for one half, but when that 2nd half started they seem to just run out of gas. If kids are not willing to put in the extra effort that it takes to go 4 full quarters and if the coaches do not push them to do that, then the end results are not good. I am not downing Sabine just giving my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.

I do not know about the Master/ Principalship that ND is talking about, but I do know that Willie was renewed at UG if he wants to stay there.

GWAL, I understand that Sabine has nice facilities and ND might be getting a little old, but I also know that Sabine has been a basketball school for years, not saying that they could not win at football, but in my way of thinking. What good is it going to do to have nice facilities and kids that do not want to play football or, are not willing to put in the extra work needed to be successful. I would rather have a beat up old pickup if it is running than a brand new car that I could not drive. Sabine has some pretty good kids that play but I think they lack communtiy support for football. IMO!

Bird, nobody has ever said Coach Adams did not do a good job, but Roger resigned and will not be back, I'm just saying if Diana wants to continue to be a scrappy football team then they need someone like Willie or Willie himself. It is pretty clear that some coaches in house has applied, and it seems that you are one of them. You have been against Willie since this topic has come up, just chill it will be ok.

Yes sir, you are exactly right, Willie is hard but fair, if you play for him and are not afraid to work you will be a winner. Willie installs good work ethics and discipline, he is a proven winner.

1998 thru 2002 the girls track team dominated district 4 years, sent several girls in that time frame to Austin for the state meet. Girls track could be strong again if it was pushed hard enough. ND has the atheletes in the girls program.

I don't care what is going on in Beckville but the way ND kept Malone ended up costing the district $ 750,000.00, and a year of investigation from the folks in Austin, some of that expense was paying for a board monitor from Austin every meeting for a year and a 2 year buy out of the Sups.contract. Not very smart as tough as money is in ND.

Thanks for the update bird, I'M just glad we have people like you that know all this stuff. We would all be in the dark if we did not have you on this board. Tell us who you are going to hire so the suspense will be over, and the kids can start getting ready for the new coach.

New Diana has been very succesful since the 1950's, they have had some off years as all programs have had but overall it is the most attractive of the three. UG and OC have had some good years and I am not knocking their programs but if you look at the playoff years on Smoaky's playoff run for east Texas teams ND has been in the playoffs many many times. OC playoffs 7 times 1975,76,83,84,90,94,95,2011. UG playoffs 8 times 1940,48,54,56,57,59,65,69. ND playoffs 27 times 1957,58,59,61,64,67,72,74,80.82,83,84,85,87,90,91,92,94,95,96,99,2000,01,02,05,07,09. If I were a coach I would like to think that the kids and community both take a lot of pride in their programs so I would go after the job at ND first. I know some of the new people in the community do not remember this but the 1980 thru 2001 playoff apperances were under the guidance of Willie Hargett. So school board you need to look hard at this.

I do agree, I don't think they will win district, however they lost a few good kids last year very early to injuries, they have a very good running back that broke his ankle and missed the entire season and a couple of other kids that really hurt them. They will have some talent, if they can stay healthy they will be very competitive, and if they bring in the right coach, the one that a lot of people want, they will be ok.

I don't think ND will win the district, Coach Adams did do a good job at ND, but I will tell you if ND is smart and hires the man they should, they will be real tough on the defensive side of the ball. The offense will grind it out and keep other offense's off the field, and they will be very competitive, I believe they could play for a playoff spot.
