  1. Well, he was correct.....with a miracle, LOL!!!! Those guys crack me up. We were in it, just didn't have enough gas to finish it, for the first game this year. The Cats just wore them down. We're proud of 'em, though, no doubt.
  2. Good game Refugio Bobcats!!!! Even with the win ronight it's a long trip back South. Make it a safe one. Lovelady will take this one proudly, and be back next year to try again.
  3. Yep. Congrats, Lovelady, awesome and school historic season. Hold your heads high. Congrats, Refugio, on the win. Definitely a tough team, good luck next week. Canadian's last game is next week, when they take the championship.
  4. They have been. I think they around 12 penalties for about 96 yards?
  5. This is dangum good ball game!!!! My wife's not feeling good, laid down.....It's hard not to get excited. I may have to retire this to my truck so I can vocalize!!!!!
  6. Hwy 19 from Huntsville to Crockett. It is between the 2.
  7. Lovelady is located between Crockett and Huntsville. It got it's name from a man named Cyrus Lovelady. He owned a piece of land that the railroad came through his property on a land grant.
  8. Just got the word from KIVY. It's going to be on 92.7
  9. You can stream it from kivy.com. Not sure of the actual station, yet. I'm also seeing where it's going to be streaming on connect.coastalbend.edu/kicker106.
  10. More than likely, but, they may use their 102.9 or 1290 AM station. That's the one that did last week's game. I'll check and update soon.
  11. Coming from a Refugio fan....I'm pretty sure that was nothing but sarcasm....LOL!!!
  12. Yes, we have. I believe it was in 07'. Chilton beat us out in Corsicana. But, we've never been this far undefeated. Yes, we have. I believe it was in 07'. Chilton beat us out in Corsicana. But, we've never been this far undefeated.
  13. Refugio will be tough. They usually are. But, Lovelady will show up to play and play hard. Anything is possible, that's why the game is played. Remember, Refugio just knocked off undefeated Shiner, who made a LOT of mistakes that the Comanches usually don't make. Lovelady in a nail biter. It's going to be a battle of speed. Refugio is quick, too.
  14. Yeah, Buzz.....just like Crockett's allegations weren't true, but that stuff flew like feathers in the wind. That's what the other poster was wondering. Chappell Hill and Smoaky got on it quick. Don't much like people who do this because they lose a game they think they should have won. If you have those problems, then the only way to solve is to win the game. Just saying.
  15. This one really threw me. Congrats to Stamford, time to pay the piper.....good luck next week with mason. CONGRATS, MART on a great season.
  16. Ganado is usually tough. From when I played against them in 2A ball to now. They last to Falls City last year, and Falls City went on to win it all in D2. Mason has been on this track since last year. They are undefeated going into this one, and I hope they are 13-1 after. They are not going to be pushovers. Garrison pushed us all over the field last night. I don't think it will be that easy next week. Mason will be coming out to win this one. Goldthwaite last in the first or second round. I don't consider that a losing record. Goldthwaite is usually tough as well. NOW....my thoughts on the game. If Garrison can come out and run that football like they did against us last night, then they can win it. I'm not too sure about the passing game, but, Mason has faced some good passing teams. Goldy and Ganado throw the ball well. I think Burkhalter will be able to move the ball as well as he did last night. He is an impressive young man. Strahan should have Mason scratching their heads. What got me last night, is the fact that Burkhalter was lining up every where on the field. It was hard to figure out what was coming. Garrison Bulldogs.......go out on that field and play your hearts out. Region 3 is behind you all the way, and we are looking for you guys to bring that gold home to Region 3. BULLDOGS.........GO GET THAT RING!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Being a Moderator over there, Saw....I think I have some stroke. Go over there point me to the "Bullthug" post and I will definitely arrange some furniture.
  18. I think I know who you might be as well. I enjoy, win or lose, watching the Lions play. They are a little smaller than other teams, but, that heart they have beats hard in those chests. I have no kids on the team, they have graduated and have moved on with their lives, but I LOVE small town football, and will continue to support the Lions. They are a fun group of guys to watch on the field, and never cease to surprise and amaze us.
  19. SAWBOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was trying to find you last night to meet up with you, but, the guys I was riding with missed their bedtime and were hollering to leave. You're son, #8 had a pretty good game. I was impressed with him, as well as the rest of the team. CONGRATS, guy.......you have every right to be a proud Dogs fan. Maybe next year, if things work out and the UIL doesn't really screw everything up, may we get another shot. Not sure though....I think we lost about 17 Seniors.
  20. Ok, here goes..... I wasn't hiding, I had to work this morning so went straight to bed when I got home. The Lovelady Lions are no slouches, but, it just wasn't our game. Garrison did a great job containing Sherman, Denson, Ratcliff and the gang. The miss snap and safety early was NOT in our game. It's something that LL just doesn't do. The false starts didn't help. The refs really had no effect on this game, they called a fair one. Garrison had their way. They knew what we were going to do and did what they had to do to stop us, and then pushed back as they needed to. Great ball club. I talked to a couple of guys on the sidelines after the game. Burkhalter is a very humble kid. Well raised. Yes, sir and thank you, sir during our short conversation. He's a horse, and I hope he stays healthy the whole game next week, Garrison will need him. I have to say, the Dogs impressed me last night, and gained my respect four fold. And I have to say this...............the sportsmanship that I saw last night was beyond compare. Each team would help each other up....and there was a play that our #75 was slow getting up from, and 4 Dogs grabbed him by the shoulder pads and picked him up. THAT was a great thing to witness. Sportsmanship is the key, and should be taught from the ground up. Whether you win or lose.....it's all about sportsmanship. The Lions took us on a great ride, and now it's time for Garrison to bring home the gold to Region 3, and let the world know that Region 3 is tougher than they think. CONGRATULATIONS to the Dogs and Garrison fans. the Bulldog fans are just as classy as the team. I stepped amongst them after game and told them where I was from, and they welcomed me in their amidst. I felt something there last night that I haven't been able to put a finger on, but, it was a good feeling. Good luck next week, Dogs......you're going to have play as flawless as you did last night. Mason will be on their A game. We're ALL pulling for you, and I wish I could be at the game.
  21. 100.5 KMVL.....www.kmvl.net Tommy Davis and I will be calling the game. There is also a station up there that will be covering it for the Bulldogs as well, I believe that's what I read somewhere.
