The Union Hill community compares 6 man football to flag football. They think playing 6 man football will eliminate all their football players chances at football scholarships. Some parents have voiced that if Union Hill goes to 6 man football, they will move their kids to Gilmer so they can be looked at. :) Doing what I am not for sure, but they will be looked at. However, I think the district will wise up this time around.

It had nothing to do with travel. There are plenty of teams in the area that play. The issue was the community thought 6 man was flag football and didn’t want there boys playing flag football because they could not get football scholarships. I assume the community would rather go 0-10 every year instead of giving their boys an opportunity to be successful and compete against schools their size..
