2nd Team all-American RB on the all freshman team is just not enough for some.

Some NFL teams will not have him on their draft board because of his big list of past injuries…….not saying those teams are smart or not, just stating facts.

Texas has not played their best and have had some obvious penalties……But the ref throwing a flag for block in the back and then picking up the flag - when it was obvious - is sickening.

Texas’ edge/DE really need to put way more pressure on the QB…….Penix is too good to tap his feet in the same spot for 3-4 seconds deciding where to throw the ball.

As a Texas fan, I would also like the games switched………Would rather Texas play Michigan…….but if I knew Texas was beaten already, I would pull for Bama - not a fan of the Michigan coach and staff.

Tripping call was crazy - out in the open so it is obvious the Cowboy player didn’t trip. If no tripping is called, Dallas has 2nd down and 3……if Dallas runs the ball twice and doesn’t get the first down, and makes FG, Detroit gets the ball with about 1:10 left and no timeouts. If Dallas gets a first down, game is probably over.

Player screening has changed for the worse also……….Now the guy making the screen can go body-up the defender and use their hands to push on him - if the offense wants another defender on the guy with the ball, they can make it happen.

Don’t even know which official SOC has filed the grievance over, so I can’t say anything about said official I will ask you this - if the Bellville and Gilmer game had 7 officials who all grew up in Gilmer and/or live in Gilmer now, would you be okay with that ? If you answer “no” are you saying they would not have been professional ?

Should not have an official from one of the competing schools town/city being a referee.

I doubt anything happens with the grievance that SOC has filed with the UIL, but if true, the UIL and the official should both be ashamed.

If you play undersized DEs/edge and LBS, you better have DTs who can stuff the inside run game - or else you will have a few opponents each year whose line gets on a roll and you have games like today. Was ugly.

I am a Texas fan, but in this game, the best player for Duncanville is the RB.
