If it is a former HHS Lion here are some of the relatively younger guys I tracked down who are currently coaching. Im sure there's more Drew Coleman- Rice University(previously coached at Blinn and TCU) NFL draft pick and TCU star Derek Thurmond- Spring Westfield HS Robert Tamplin- Tenaha(former Tenaha HC) Lester Johnson- Corpus Christi Flour Bluff HS Clay Baker- Carlisle HS HC Justin Horton - Kaufman HS (Former Oklahoma State TE) also coached in college

I'm hearing the favorite is a former Henderson Lion athlete. How many Henderson graduates are coaching? I know Baker at Carlisle is from Henderson.

Mount Enterprise is the home town of a lot of really good athletes from the 80s and 90s. The problem is most of those athletes took their genes and moved to Henderson, Nacogdoches, and surrounding bigger towns. I do believe the right guy can get this place going again. I remember going to some of those Teneha vs Mt. Enterprise games as a kid in the 90s and that little stadium would be crazy! It would be good to see a true East Texas guy get the job and not some uppity coordinator from a DFW or Houston school.

John Tyler should never lose by 50 points to ANY team. I don't understand how Holmes is allowed to act as if he doesn't want to be there PUBICLY and all the while putting this product on the field. If he don't want to be there, show him the nearest exit!

I've never seen a coach seem so miserable at such a good job. What is his problem??? He's always complaining on Twitter.

I'm tired of all the Red from Henderson. For me Henderson is Blue....Kilgore and Carthage both wear red. A lot of Blue and White with a little red for Henderson.....but I get it...the kids like the red and the silver is a great accent.

He will be the next Head Coach at Lake Travis. Hank Carter will leave to join Chad Morris' staff at Baylor.
