I find it funny that Beckville always gets "up" for the Joaquin game when most around Joaquin could care less about them. Joaquin's rivals are Logansport (even though they quit the annual football series) Teneha, and Shelbyville. Beckville would be surprised if they drove past the new school/gym and on past the stadium over the overpass to see the $ floating around in the past 3 years in Joaquin. Also, no one thinks of beckville when they think of the past East Texas 1a programs (for the past decade anyways), Teneha, Alto, Joaquin, Mt. E, W Sabine, Cayuga comes to their minds, and Beckville you're not on any of their level. I also remember some Beckville posters in the past claiming The TJ Adams was the best/fastest back in 20-a and if I recall they had to literally pull that boy out from under the stands after he got hit in the mouth by Joaquin D and he didnt like it or how he sure didnt look as fast against that Teneha speed!

Carisle has a dam good team and should'nt hang their heads low, that was anyones ball game. Good luck to both teams and maybe they will meet again?

None of those players playing D3 ball have athletic scholarships. In D3 they cannot pay for a kids school because they play ball but can give out academic etc....type scholarships. Either way good for those kids though.

Joaquin 1st team offense really clicked. Like yourteam said got alot of 2nd stringers in the second half some playing time on offense. Defense was still pretty physical and salty. Shelbyville's number 12 is a load at rb. Look for Joaquin to make some noise this year.
