This was a good one. I remember the disappointment in the Cuero game broadcasters voice at the end. I felt a bit sorry for the old dude.

I miss doing these. If only for my own enjoyment. The game feed format has changed at KGAS and half the game is missed. Random commercial videos pop up now at the most inoppotune times.

This was one of the most epic games I ever witnessed.

Now the dismal district play starts. I miss Carthage being in the District of Doom.

Come on Friday!!!!! I have only gotten to see one home game and one away game this year. Been working alot. I love games at Bulldog Stadium in Carthage.

You do have a point. I know that the new facilities in Carthage gave the town a big moral boost (IMO). 3 state titles didn't hurt either. But, old Martin Stadium kind of forced the issue. It collapsed. That entire season was played away. The new stadium was build with bond money, from a majority vote. If my memory serves me correctly, it was an overwhelming "YES". As well as the Field House, New Primary and recent addition of the most Awesome Scoreboard in the state. Coach Surratt also gave the town a big boost. He runs a top notch program and is an Offinive Genius (again, my Opinion) Mr.Surratt has amassed 68 wins to date at Carthage. That includes the previous 5 seasons and this season. His first 5 seasons at Carthage he has averaged 12.4 wins per season. I believe the addition of Coach Barbay at Jasper will boost the crowd a bit after he gets his program to his liking. May even give them the gumption to replace that old stadium down there. The last time I was there, I believe the visitors side was still wood.

I am pulling for our kinfolk in Henderson, but I think Bullard by +12. Prove me wrong Lions.

Carthage is at Center next week. That should be a decent game.

Radio said Huntington benched some of thier better players because they have a chance to beat Diboll. If so, sounds like they accepted a loss before they got on the bus.

I believe Palestine will go D1. Rusk will get D2. Tossup between Groesbeck & Fairfield. All will be sent home in round 1.

Huntington? Bless them, but I'm not sure they have a football. huntington doesn't seem to emphasize football.

Dawghouse Cafe is pretty good. You wouldn't notice it if you didn't know it was there.

Yes it did hurt. But I'd be willing to bet that will never happen again to the young man. He is a good kid. He is only 15. Pretty young for a Varsity Safety eh? Reckon he will be a BEAST in the next few years.

'Ole Payzone was there until the last second ticked off the clock. I'm proud of those young men. They never gave up........all the way to the last tick of the clock.
