Softball pays these same! And your done with a softball game before BasebAll gets  Done even warming up! 12 years calling softball! BASEBALL IS SO SLOW!! II TRIEQD Called both one year. Nope nope nope! Pays the SAME DO SOFTBALL!!

You are correct about the pay. Some people prefer to umpire baseball to softball. Different games. Softball is not always faster than baseball. Twice last season I started baseball games on fields right next to the softball field where the games were at the same time. Baseball was done first both times....they were not run rules.

Still could use some good umpires. Let me know if you are interested. We will teach you everything you need to know.

  2. The 2020 High School Baseball season is just around the corner. The Tyler Chapter of TASO Baseball is accepting new members. We will provide you with all the training you need. Experience is not necessary, but is a plus.

You can check out our new and growing website: http://tylerumpires.org

Umpiring High School Baseball is a great way to earn extra money, stay involved in baseball, and give back to a sport that you love.

I am know there are many arm-chair umpires on Smoaky. This is your opportunity to see if you have what it takes to strap on the gear and get behind the plate!

Another way to take money!! I wonder what the UIL’s kickback off these helmets are, because you know they’re gonna make money.

7on7 is not a UIL thing. I get it you don’t like them, but this seems like a safety issue. Heaven for bid we protect kids. What started off as a non contact game has slowly changed to more contact from overagressive players. I think this is a good thing.

  5. This is horrible an uncalled for since the play was away from the area. The reason the ref did not throw a flag was because the play was still going on and a whistle had not been blown and the QB in this position is not considered defenseless the QB should of had his head on a swivel.

Either way that kid should be suspended for a few games. Coaches need to teach their QB to always be prepared and have their heads on a swivel on run plays. I am sure once UIL and TASO gets a hold of this game footage like they have there will be discipline but I understand the no flag on him.

It would be unnecessary roughness...or Unsportsmanlike conduct. The QB is out of the play. As a referee I am protecting my QB on that play. It is different if he gives an option look, but he was just standing around.
