Franklin is on another level this year. Since Fannin took over they have elevated their game. Just don’t think this game will be as close as some of you think. Gunter will feel the same pain the following week.

I like the West D as they more less shutdown the Koff O last week. Now on the offensive side they are going to have to do more and score more to beat MV. I look for MV to go uptempo to offset the West D. I think MV D can get stops against the West O. I’m picking MV by 10.

I’m thinking MV ability to move the ball around on offense will be the difference. West D is outstanding but I think MV wins this one. You can’t let arrogant fans cloud your judgment on how good they really are.

I think the results of the poll pretty much tells you how people feel.

No but heck no, they are held at one of the best stadium in the world.

Brock and I do think both teams are deserving of their 1-2 rankings.

Since Coach Fannin has taken full control of the program, the Lions have been on a different kind of level than they ever have been. They will play again in the State Championship game.

Gladewater big win over Grandview was impressive and it seemed that MV was doing just enough to beat a scrappy Whitney team. I look for MV to be a lot more focused against a Gladewater team that made a statement against Grandview.

This should be a knock down drag out in the trenches. In the end I think Malakoff speed decides the game. West is here for a reason and if they can keep Hart from breaking long runs it could go down to the wire.

Going to be two good games as Region 2 is down to the final four. All four teams are very good and have their strengths but MV passing game is way ahead of the other three IMO. Not sure who takes the Region but Malakoff hasn’t allowed a point yet but the Groesbeck QB took advantage of their secondary at times but in the end Malakoff was just too much for them. West is big and strong up front, Gladewater has the athletes. Going to be some great football the next weeks in Region 2.

Couldn’t block anyone or tackle anyone, bad recipe for success. Malakoff is a dang good football team.

One thing that wasn’t mentioned was when it was 3 teams, a lot coaches (District Champions) didn’t like having a bye.

Great 2nd round matchup. A very good team is going home. Grandview is very well coached and can move the ball in various ways on offense. Gladewater has talent on both sides of the ball, this one could be a classic.

West

Franklin, I don’t think Yoe D can stop Franklin O. Lots of points have been put up on them and it won’t get any better this week.
