stjamesgate,yall's kids have been through alot also but didnt realize this was their 3rd coaching staff as well.we will be tailgating friday,come by and eat and talk football.should be a good football game.

the teague LIONS can grab the #3 seed behind malakoff and crockett in disrict 11 2a d1 with a win over trinity.the LIONS beat troup in troup friday night 37-15 and racked up over 500 yds total offense.there will be a packed house in teague with it being SR NIGHT as well as the LIONS trying to clinch a playoff berth.i think coach finney,coach tunstall,coach coffman,coach callahan,coach layne,coach cochran,coach mcclain,coach satterwhite,coach kilman,coach moore,coach childs and coach tyler will have the LIONS ready.hopefully the turnaround continues friday night and the LIONS grab one of the playoff spots. these SRS have played for 3 different coaching staffs in 3 years and these kids have been through a lot of adversity.this group of SRS are special in so many ways and im not just talking athletics.they have went from a playoff team as sophs to a 1-9 season as jrs during the interim season and now they sit at 6-3 with 1 game left in the regular season.these SRS know this will be the last time they will play before the home crowd in LION stadium and i dont think they will let the LION faithful down. district 11 games malakoff vs crockett( for district championship) trinity vs teague (teague wins they are #3 seed) troup vs elkhart if trinity and elkhart win then all heck breaks loose(teague,elkhart and trinity finish at 2-3) district 12 games cameron vs troy(cameron is the champion and troy has win to have a chance at a tie for #3 seed) marlin vs academy(winner is the #2 seed but if academy loses they are out on the tie breaker with mcgregor) hearne vs florence mcgregor has a bye and will be the #3 seed if marlin wins and troy loses. i think this is the way it plays out as it was explained to me.

JMO,but before tommy allison stepped on the yuga campus yuga wasnt even mentioned in the same breath compared to kerens in football.rusty nail and mart will handled yuga with ease.

this story is what high school football is all about but crockett has too many weapons.malakoff #3 is a dang good football player but crockett has 4 or 5 of his type.crockett has size,speed and depth and if they can keep it all together they can make a deep run.

teague jumped out to a 14-0 on 2 long td passes less than 2 minutes into the game.troups 2 scores,one came after a turnover by teague inside their own 20 and troup picked up a pass that was ruled a lateral and took it to the house.teague moved the ball up and down the field all night.good win for the LIONS and troup has a nice stadium and the turf is really nice.

kerens is a very talented football team but mart is better.mart is basically the same team(2 losses happen when they had key injuries) that yuga knocked out of the playoffs last year.you do the math.

i agree,against teague they just kept running players in with the same results,the only difference was the numbers on their back.seen both play dont think malakoff can hang with crockett unless the bulldogs turn it over.crockett wins by at least 20 and malakoffs unbeaten streak comes to an end.

teague beats troup tonight in troup to go to 6-3 on the season.the LIONS 3 losses are to fairfield,malakoff and crockett who are a combined 27-1.trinity comes to teague next friday if the LIONS win they are in the playoffs as the 3rd seed behind crockett and malakoff who play for the district championship in crockett.its always good to be playing for something in week #10.

kerens 2 losses are to mart and unbeaten malakoff.

teague ran it during the hayes tenure and led central texas in rushing numerous years and looks like he has put into the athens offense.

as an outsider looking in i have followed all three schools(mart yuga and kerens) in the past.all 3 schools have a right to be proud of what they have done through the years.i can tell you first hand that big tank was a hellva player and would knock your jock off and mart has been a thorn in teague's side for ever.i followed yuga the past few years knowing coach allison from his days at teague and my mother-in law graduated from yuga. yuga proved they were the real deal and had some of the best fans a team could want.from my old playing days,being friends with hal wasson when he was there kerens has always been good.their field is named after my wife's uncle and teague has played them through the years.so regardless who you are for these 3 schools deserve and have earned the respect of others.when i saw these 3 schools in the same district,i thought what a war this is going to be.teague scrimmaged kerens and they are good.now can they beat yuga - sure but will they -not sure.yuga just keeps on winning and people just keeps doubting them.good luck to all 3 teams but i think mart will win the district.

this should be a good game but i think teague will find a way to win.after last weeks 1 point loss to malakoff :mad: the LIONS will be ready for troup and get back on the winning trail. GO LIONS :highfive:

i have seen both play and crockett wins this game.crockett if they get back to full strength other teams had better look out.they have it all size, speed and depth and are going to be a tough out in the playoffs if they play their game.the wheeler kid is awesome.

not since the start of the f-field(3rd) game have we had our 3 best players(henderson,mcclain and busby) in a game at the same time.several games it was just one of them and it is great to see the other players step up and do the job.the LIONS have put themselves in position for a playoff berth.they dont have to depend on no one -2 WINS AND YOUR IN !!!!

too bad our stud rb wont be back but dr gave him some encouraging news should be back for the track season so he can defend his 100 meter state championship.

teague defense just got better with mlb coming back this week who was averaging 15 tackles a game in the first 2 games.his leadership and play has been sorely missed during his absence great to have him back for the stretch run.

thats the way it was explained to me so elkhart needs to win by at least 3 to have a chance at the playoffs.
