  1. This is a great idea. It's hot out there brother. Brutally hot. Throw on some gear, step out on a turf field and things can get seriously scary in a hurry. Especially in the smaller classifications where you have lots of kids going both ways.

Take the break. Take as many breaks as the kids need. Don't be stupid. Keep the kids safe.

    amen brother

  2. Who goes to the playoffs in this very spread out district......Lots of miles seperating these teams.

    1.Crockett

    2.Teague

    3.Troup

    4.Malakoff

    5.Trinity

    6.Elkhart

crockett, teague and malakoff and yes there will be some travel involved,

  3. this should be a good ball game but i think teague will find a way to win.i think in the end the lion's speed will be the difference with some big plays.mildred will make this a tough spot for new coach josh finney and the lion's.

  4. Does Crockett have off week in Zero week? Seems weird that they are still scrimmaging when all others start for real this week. Was it because their field wasn't ready 2nd week of August?

i heard new waverly dropped them late causing this to be a open week.i think they are only playing 9 games in the regular season.correct me if i wrong crockett folk.

  5. Hows Kerens lookin'? Havn't heard much about them

kerens will make some noise this year, they have some good lookin kids.as blessdaily said they scored on a long run but other than that it was pretty even.teague is going through growing pains learning a new offense and defense.switching from the wing t to the spread offense has them in shock sometimes.lol overall the lions kept it very simple with one running play and several pass plays.cant wait for this friday as the lions travel to mildred for the season opener and expect a large teague following going to mildred.

  6. Overall Brookhill won 3-0.

I was very pleased with Cayuga Tonight. Offense wasnt really clicking, but we'll get there. Defense was great. All three touchdowns were on deep passes, well one was a 4 and ?? from like the 10. But Defense played well. Brookhill, like last year, will be the best team Cayuga plays all year. This shows how good Cayuga can be this year. Good Luck to Brookhil this year.

dont forget about those mart panthers.

  7. Thanks for the kind words player73...we are very happy and proud to be wearing the Orange and white...we hope we can get things turneed around and headed the right direction...there are some outstanding athletes coming in Lion country...the "cupboard" is fully loaded from 7th grade up!! It's going to be a great time to be a Teague Lion for many years to come!!

this is a good run of talent and we have an excellent coaching staff as coach finney has blended it together very nicely.if this staff stays together with this talent the lions should win their share of games in the next five years or so.learning a new offense and defense there will be bumps in the road but i think the lion's will be just fine this year.

  8. ok, so mcclain runs a 4.56 but he is fast enough to go with the rest of them.its his decision making that is his strong point to me and thats not even mentioning his arm and passing accuracy.also benches 290, scored 28 or 29 on his act test and plus is a great team leader.glad he is wearing the orange and white.

  9. in earlier posts i said that crockett has talent and will be a good football team this year there is no doubt about it.you keep saying other people dont understand this and that about crockett.i really not sure about troup, elkhart and trinity but i know malakoff will be good.now what you dont understand is how good teague will be and thats fine but you will before too long.

  10. we are talking about district 11 2a in the year of 2010.i dont care what happened last year because it has no bearing on what's going to happen this year.none of these teams are going to be the exact team of last year and last time i looked everyone is 0-0 at this time.

  11. teague's speed will match up just fine with crockett and malakoff.with that being said and reading what yall say about yall's speed it looks like these games could come down to the men in the trenches.i like the lions chances down there also.

  12. teague will scrimmage kerens and buffalo, both who were in the play-offs last year.kerens is a top ten team and according to FNF they have the makings of a state title contender with 8 and 10 returning.buffalo is ranked 25 by FNF in d2 class 2a.these will be 2 good scrimmages for the lions who have plently of questions to answer going into the season.
