IMO , two key matchups other than the obvious. Malakoff Pass Defense vs Grandview passing game Granview perimeter defense vs Malakoff run game.

Y’all had yalls chance but y’all couldn’t beat Grandview because of the same song , second verse. FYI, Grandview vs Malakoff is the State Championship on Thursday at 7 pm in Jerry World.

Someone starts this topic about twice a year. It seems to that 8 out of 10 prefer Jerry World. I live halfway between the two stadiums and Cowboy Stadium is hands down a better place for the Championship games. IMO.

Grandview has taken down Rockdale, Woodville, Franklin and EC in the Playoffs in the strongest Region in 3a D1.They are battle tested for Yoakum. Been saying it since District that there is about these Zebras.

Malakoff is coming on strong and was used to playing in the strongest Region 3 year in and out. They breezed thru Region 2 and now take on arguably the most disliked team in Class 3A D 1 in Brock. Coach has these Tigers playing at a high level right now and I think they punch their ticket to Jerry World but Brock won’t go down easily.

Congrats to Malakoff on a big win. Getting Carr back is a huge boost for the Tigers and the D is playing lights out. Glad to know that Teague isn’t the only team that can’t tackle # 11. Lol . Good luck against Brock

Both teams coming off big upsets according to the experts. Grandview knocked off nearly everyone’s favorite Franklin to win Region 3 and EC beat Yoe. Saw the Grandview game in person and Coach Davis and staff had a great game plan and the Zebras performed it to take the win. I like Grandview in this one as well. IMO Grandview will have to play keep away from the EC offense much like they did in the Franklin game. Their D will have to come up with another big game but this one they will have to play both the run and pass. Last week they knew Franklin was one dimensional. The Zebras by 10.

Grandview is not the same team but obviously Malakoff isn’t either. Both teams have lost their best RB but the rest of the team has vastly improved. Haven’t seen Malakoff since Game 1 but have seen Grandview a few times and their young QB is stud. Good luck to both Malakoff and Grandview.

I disagree, y’all can’t pass in passing situations. I’ve watched it for the past three years. What two pass completions and one on a HB pass. Ironically the other one came with less than a minute to play for a td to make it a closer game.

Terry, Folks are saying how young Grandview is and rightly so but let’s also remember that Grandview was in the quarterfinals last year. Most of those offensive guys are back. So the “ Stage “ will not affect the Zebras.

Grandview can win this game and it would not surprise me if they did. At this point of the Playoffs, the teams are better as well as the coaching. IMO If Grandview can make Franklin play from behind they will win.

Hopefully the weather will not be a factor and I still think Franklin is the team to beat in Region 3 but I like the balance of Grandview in games at this time of the year. Franklin wins in a good game and will face Yoe in the next round.
