Defense mechanism.....its cool. I'd be actin like that too if my team had just lost to a team that our top competitor beat. One thing seperates Tatum and Daingerfield.....Depth, and it makes all the difference.

I know right, we're a little banged up and we just hung 41 on Pitt, gave up 17...14 of that to the mop up crew in the 4th. Jefferson could still possibly suprise White Oak and take 2nd....but I've seen Jefferson, they are no where close to the same level as Tatum. Make a trip to Eagle stadium friday night and see for youself.

I'm on the fence between NB and Redwater.....though I'm leaning more towards the NB side for now......but like I said...still not sold on this yet.

Yep but no depth, when Boyd and co are dead tired from playing both ways...it changes things......you can bet Celina has some depth.

No cats didn't say that....but a lot of people feel that way....partially including me. ND hasn't shown much life....though Jefferson really hasn't either. I think Jefferson and ND will be the only real battle. I think Tatum will run away with the district uncontested....White Oak will lose to Tatum and then beat everyone else. Jefferson will battle it out with New Diana for the 3rd spot, Jefferson will it, I think. 1. Tatum - I dont think anyone is on the same level as the Eagles in this district 2. White Oak - Still have a lot to prove but their passing game is gonna be key 3. Jefferson - Just seems to be struggling more than anyone could have thought 4. New Diana - Brewer needs to get healthy, they're gonna need him 5. Sabine - trying to put it together 6. Harmony - just rebuilding, way too young

What kind of depth does New Boston have.....how many kids start both ways??? D-field could be in trouble here....they have NO DEPTH WHAT SO EVER.

Wow, Carlisle has literally played no one. Gonna be some hard times win they actually run up against a somewhat decent team.

Just because our home is your home now doesn't mean you're on the same level as us. Ive seen West Rusk play, you dont want none, I promise. Think about it....We've beat 2 of the top teams out of the "District of Doom" 16AAA. Come sit with the loud crowd this week and see how much size, speed, and depth we have. You'll change your mind. You obviously haven't heard of the depth factor. We rotate 14 linemen with the 1st string, we have 5 or 6 RBs that would start at WR. Ya'll have a good team, but saying you could keep it close with us is like saying you could either beat or almost beat Gilmer. Is that realistic? Do you really think you'd make the playoffs in that district??? Cuz apparently we would. Ya'll will do really well in DII, but dont let that head swell up too big.

The spread, a lot of 5 wide set, some shotgun 1 back. Manley hates getting hit so if you can get serious presure on him, Pitt is in trouble. Give him all day and he'll pick you apart. RBs are effective because you're always trying to cover the pass. The defense gave up around 400 to us on the ground. If Carthage loses to Pitt.....in my opinion, life is gonna be rough for the dawgs this year.

Yeah, Pitt might be in over their head. Either that or we'd be a powerhouse in 3A.......which ever you prefer to say.

I too voted for Tatum by a little but I gave Pitt too much credit I guess. They weren't the caliber I was expecting.

Dude go back and read the original post that you are in an uproar about. You'll notcie that he was stating that West Rusk was for real.....then he stated even though they are 1-4, Arp is kicking again. So it might be you that is embarrassing yourself. Calm ya nerves....its all gonna be ok.

Sorry man...Pitt's not gonna beat Gilmer and they're probably not making the playoffs. After hearing all the hype I thought they would be rowdy....but after friday night, I found out just that....it was all hype. Pitt is a somewhat decent team that beat up on a weak schedule. The high powered offenses in the district will shread the Pirate defense. Pittsburg would do pretty well in 2A...but they just aren't gonna have enough to run with 16AAA.

I'm sorry, I thought this was a board open for disussion. JJ won the homer of the year award last year here on SDC....I'm just campaigning for him again this year. JJ doesn't mind, hes used to going back and forth with me.

Yeah Tatum is pretty stout this year, a completely different team, much better than last year....Bullard has had a rough go of it so far, hopfully they'll show the district they are there to compete. And yeah...they'll survive, but the boys will want to make an impression to all the people coming in for homecomming....could be a bad one.
