  1. If the X's and O's hold up, Gladewater could be a completely different team than the last 2 years. Before any of Johny Football's golfing buddies attack me....I'm simply stating that it might be a good idea to run the intended offense in non-district as well instead of running one thing in non-district then going to the "goods" in district. Them ole teenagers might perform it a little better if they knows it a little better. That much weaker schedule should help with confidence as well.
  2. Wonder if the freshman that got moved up to play defense will be apart of the backfield next year.
  3. Speed can be contained. But if you ain't got it and the other team does.....one little crease, one little mistake.....6 points. Having guys that can go run down that mistake is huge. LE, Jeffy, Atlanta have the speed that can go catch that mistake and force another set of downs. It's a big advantage.
  4. We definitely lost the most as far as impact players. Watson and Gonzalez were game changers. We return all 3 fullbacks including our leading rusher in Gipson as well as Moore, who you mentioned, and Nance. Don't be surprised if you see Sigler a lot more at receiver and a younger cat or 2 at RB/Slotback opposite of Cayden Tatum. Defensively, I'd say we got much better but losing Watson at LB is gonna sting a little. Got a couple other kids that saw a lot of time at LB giving Watson a breather....at least we'll have some kind of experience to fill the void. The incoming freshman will probably anchor the D-Line in the middle. Moore will be tough at DE as a senior, Nance comes back at the other DE spot. Harrison and Peoples both return at OLB. Tatum and Smith return in the secondary. I think the defense will be improved. Offensively it's all gonna boil down to Bradley's progression running the system. Nobody should expect him to be Watson....he won't be and he can't be. But before Watson.....Keeling had a dude, and before that dude, he had another dude, and so on. Each dude had a different skill set and style.....they'll have Bradley ready to be the dude.....offense might be tweaked some. Every weapon not named Gonzalez comes back at his disposal...he'll have help. There's zero room for growing pains, unfortunately, with us jumping into the fire instantly against Winnsboro with Daingerfield, Newton, and West Rusk to follow. He's gonna have hit the ground running as a starter. Moving up a JV that lost one district game, 14-12 to Gladewater should fill holes and add depth.
  5. Cute lol. But I wouldn't be shocked if he has 20+ offers before his career is over. Kid squatted more in 7th grade than most seniors lol. 475 then, not sure how much in 8th grade. Tolbert's gonna be a problem.
  6. Lol, first meeting was Tatum 94 Oak 27
  7. Yeah....I can feel the storm brewing. I can see the headlines after week 11. "Winless White Oak only gives up 70 once this year"
  8. I'm not real sure what happened to be honest. One minute I was drunk and having fun then I woke up the next day and I had done got DQed for a week.
  9. The 29-1 Tatum Lady Eagles will be playing the Regional Quarter-Final in front of the home fans at the Coliseum.
  10. Apparently Queen City flipped our girls for home/home and lost the toss. Lady Eagles get to play their Regional Quarter-Final in front of a home around at Eagle Coliseum.
  11. If you're bored out there in West Texas and need something to watch, here's tonight's game. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/q1N9Q8RH2aLcGQVn/?mibextid=i5uVoL
  12. Both have a chance to have solid playoff runs. Then each team graduates just 2 seniors a piece......and likely get a chance to meet in the playoffs next season. Tatum will return all 5 starters. The Dunks from Robinson will be missed though. Always fun to see a lot of in-game dunks.
  13. I do hope he understands that we are not the Tatum of old and do not fall into the speedy class anymore lol. And our fastest two kids on the team graduate this year. Watson and Gonzalez will be missed dearly and gave this district all the wanted and then some the last two seasons. Watson didn't look like he was moving fast but defenses would single file in behind him on 60 and 70 yard runs. Gonzalez was quick and deceptively fast.
  14. Was a tight first half. 2nd half all Tatum. Rare to see that big of a margin. It's generally pretty close between the two for the most part. Tatum did lead by 14 at one point in the 2nd game and kinda imploded as Jeffy got hot to make the comeback. This year.... 56-50 Tatum 59-58 Jeffy 63-31 Tatum
  15. Tatum beats Jefferson 63-31 in their 3rd meeting to take the 1 seed.
  16. Whatever happened to ole @homegrown from Teague, Tx?
  17. 1st scrimmage has changed. Harmony backed out. We'll scrimmage Timpson instead.
  18. Good deal......I don't wanna brag but I play a mean game of Put Put. Let's go "best ball"......just get it on the green, I'll handle it from there. Otherwise I'll just hand out the ice cold beverages.
  19. Will never happen but I think it'd be cool. Instead of just naming All-District teams......we should let them play an All-District game. Would be fun to watch. D7 vs D8
  20. I will say.....if EB were to play for us, I like our chances. He's pretty damn good.
  21. I'll be a D8 caddy and permanent beer b****. Just think of it as all time QB in Street ball. Yall don't need to see these golf skills. Nobody does, I'm terrible.
  22. I didn't say there wouldn't be lol. In fact, if White Oak will get back close to where they were..... the district got tougher as a whole.
  23. Young PG is indeed very good. Tatum graduates 2 and I hate that we won't share a district in hoops next year. Maybe we'll meet up in non-district.
