No doubt, ya'll have some young talent. Jefferson does lose some significant seniors, but have quite a few jrs. al well. And their jv was pretty good. If I'm not mistaken, their mile relay went undefeated.

This is awesome....everyone is jumpin on the Hammer JJ bandwagon. JJ u seem to be under the misconception that you know alot of football. What would even bring you on this thread???? Is the Arp thread depressing? Not only have u guys lost but man Troup beat the heck outta u guys. Dont see that happenin to the Bulldogs. I mean I know that yall are so good and everything; but as a high school football expert I would think that you would know that you cannot compare scores from game to game. Each game is a seperate match up and anything can happen on a Friday night. So it means nothing to say Jefferson barely beat EF (Although they were up 21-0 at half) and that your 3-2 Seals beat a beat up jacket team a week later. Also look at schedules....? Really???? Troup has played some weak teams also; I mean.... The best team Troup has played has a 3-2 record. The two undefeateds in a tough district; it will be a great game and i will be the first on here days from now force feeding jj some crow soup.

Wow. I think i have heard of this guy. He coaches em up! And if he were here then we'd win us a state championship just like the ole 87 team when we was kids.LOL. I am truly speechless about what I just read and cant believe that someone put it online.Surely its a joke. I dont know the guy or never even heard of him but I feel bad for him if he is real. I mean dang he even "specializes" in stuff and now has the handle "best coach in East Texas". Can we start another thread on the word "best"? Personally I am confused as to how this guy, who has apparently mastered the long lost art of coaching, is being mentioned for a job thats not open. Even though he is a specialist and all.

I will agree that if u are lacking character and class on or off the field then its time to make a change. Lacking a quarter or two happens. Folks forget that they are watching KIDS play. 15-18 year old kids.

That opens up a whole other can of worms. Too many schools in the playoffs so UIL makes more money. Still cant over speculate and assume ur talent level.

I know for sure that Doomer would agree that anyone would rather have a boardmember with subsance who may chew tobacco in public, than some suit n tie, tea sippin, politician who wears a blu tooth and checks his emails on his phone every 5 minutes. Just a thought. Obviously soneone voted for him

Openly dipping snuff at a board meeting. Can see maybe how that is unprofessional; but If John Wayne is sitting in closed session chewin they would all be graced by his presence. Some could pull it off, some couldnt. I think that a problem arises in school districts many times because of small success. These small successes that come from hard work and time in an athletic program, sometimes spoil folks. Several places come to mind in East Texas where folks have a little money, their kids have a little more opportunity for things like camps and summer programs or sports. They start getting a little uppity and then they expect that they are just better than everyone else. They expect too much. EF, Beckville, Hughes Springs. Ore City is a great example recently letting Coach Chadwick go. Whitehouse. The list could keep goin. Winning takes hard work, grit, integrity, and ultimately winning starts with losing a little. To me sometimes u have people in the community who think that beause u show up, and u drive a King Ranch, and have a little change. That you ought to win bc losing isnt fair and afterall you and your hometown are just a little better than everyone else. So u set yourself, your kid, your community up for failure by moaning and groaning over not being good enough bc u think your better. They forget where they come from, tell their kids they are way better than they are, and then their kids dont live up to it, and its the coaches fault. So lets get rid of the coach bc its his fault our kids are just hard working kids with mediocre talent. Then u get some sissy complaining about dipping in a board meeting in a 1A Texas board room because they are too good for folks like that.
