    I have a feeling Gladewater's program is gonna make a huge turnaround soon! The JV, Freshmen, 8th and 7th grade are all undefeated, and the JV team played longview's JV last week and beat them 28-6. I've got a feeling that the program is gonna start looking good in the next 1-2 years!

    Lobo offense has to step its passing game up big time. I think there passing game will open up in this game because running up the middle wont work that much. Then again the option game looks to be affective to the outside. Coach king needs to confuse the horn defense. And not run peter left, peter right, peter up the middle the horn defense will be aware of that.

    Frank... you are correct in regards to Coach King... maybe not his job, but holding him accountable for winning that State Championship.

     

    He has had the talent to do so in the last 10 years. We as a fan base, love the winning tradition, however, we have bigger expectations. A State Championship. A number of coach's before King won a ton of games as well. Any Coach that comes in to Longview would win, just because of the talent that they would have available.

     

    King's issues are:

     

    1. He wants to Coach everything, offense, offensive line, special teams, Qb's...everything. He does not let his assistants coach what they are hired to coach.

    2. He is not an Offensive Coordinator. Love the scheme, but he is not creative enough to use the talents that he has on the team. The offense has not evolved and is too simple.

     

    He needs to hire good assistants and hold them accountable. He needs to lay down expectation of what he wants to see and let them work towards those expectations.

     

    Take off the headphones and let his assistants coach, if he cannot trust them... then get someone in there he can trust.

     

    It is Leadership and Organizational structure ... that's what produce Championships. Tradition is good but in most case is just a by product of winning.

    Abilene got spanked by Abilene Cooper last weekend. Allen lost to Hebron.

     

    Takes a a little shine off thoese two games for the Lobos. Since those were "measuring stick games" for the East Texas faithful.

     

    And for what it's worth..... You won the lottery the night you played Horn without their QB.

     

    Good luck to the Lobo's I would actually like to see them win.........

    i hope longview blows desoto out but i know thats not going to happen but longview will win if the defense plays lights out and the offense stays on the field and score alot of points.

    Texas will be ok. Look what happen to the sooners last season now look at them,the sooners lost to mizzou just because they made too many mistakes in that game. Texas will win the rest of their games and finish strong. Next season they will make a national championship run. GO LONGHORNS!!!!!!!!!!!
