  1. It's Cleburne with an E... but Heath and Cleburne both have some good, draft worthy players, they won the first game over Cleburne, lost the 2nd game and won the 3rd game. Watching all 3 games, if they are the best team in the nation then the future of American baseball is going downhill. They are a good team, could win state but were finally challenged with a good team in Cleburne, something Heath hasn't seen all season. The story behind the 3 games at Cleburne. The coach at Cleburne wanted one game and would play at a neutral site, the Heath coach, knowing that they could lose to Cleburne offered to have a 3 game series at Cleburne as to not have to risk their season on a coin flip. It ended up working on for Heath however, Cleburne played close the first game and dropped it to Heath's #2 pitcher. Cleburne turned it around Saturday and beat Heath's #1 pitcher but ran out of pitching late in the 3rd game and gave away a few runs. Good series, both teams looked really good. Heath should be able to walk past Frisco Wakeland and into the State Semi Finals vs a Corpus Christi school, not sure they will win however.
  2. Region II Semi-Finals Cleburne vs Rockwall Heath Game 1: Thursday 7:30pm Cleburne High School Game 2: Saturday 2:00pm Cleburne High School Game 3: Saturday 30 mins after Game 2 if necessary
  3. Cleburne won on a squeeze play in the bottom of the 9th.
  4. Cleburne jumped out to a 1-0 lead until Sulpher Springs tied it up in the bottom of the 6th. Went to the 8th and Cleburne hit a solo homerum and closed it out in the bottom of the inning to win game one 2-1. Game 2 same time and place, Friday night. Cleburne will have their ace on the mound, not sure who SS's(too many s) ace is but the kid that is going to Arkansas pitched game one (#24).
  5. Cleburne's next two pitchers are just as good as the pitcher that went, less velocity but better location and better off speed, granted that picture has offers from A&M, Sam Houston and a few others. Nac showed some guts, just couldn't make the big play. I was impressed with the shortstop #1, he is a player but #14 didn't quite live up to the hype I saw vs Hallsville.
  6. Sulfer Springs won game 2, 15-4. Win series 2-0. Face Cleburne in Regional Quarterfinals tilt.
  7. Cleburne wins 5-1, struck out 10-15 nac batters... Lost count
  8. Midway saw several hard and soft throwing lefties in district play but not much from below 3/4 arm.
  9. Updated information... Friday 7:30pm Corsicana HS, Saturday 1pm at Tyler JC, 3rd game following. Source: http://tinyurl.com/23npxwr
  10. Hollenquist had 10 strike outs, 6 with sliders, 4 with fastballs. Gave up 3 hits, two on hanging sliders down the middle and one on a first pitch fastball inside. Stuff wasn't bad but I think it had more to do with the Nacogdoches hitters being over matched.
  11. Nacogdoches vs Hallsville winner is going to get 16-4A champ Cleburne... good luck
