  1. I agree with you the kid is a great ball player. I don't think it is "crazy!" for folk to debate who is better or not, that is kind of the whole premise of the forum, post opinions. So he has been playing short for four years, then post all his stats from the past four years. I think when people see single season stats they assume it is all that is taken into account. When people see the stats for the year I understand why they would question the selection. I hope when your kids are playing you can follow your own advice. I know it is difficult to see child/athlete compete and not get recognized or maybe be overlooked. If a parent didn't prefer their child then I would think something is wrong. The problem arises when parents get too involved and try to handle things their kids are suppose to handle themselves, then it becomes a case of daddy ball or momma's babies. We all know, high school baseball can be daddy ball and certainly is full of momma's babies from the coaches to the players.
  2. Sorry, he corrected me on his first name the other day. I must have been using my redneck keyboard, will be sure to get right in the future, thanks
  3. Ok, I took Benson's advice and started another one. Any word confirming Coach Jankins staying or going? Shouldn't take long to get answer. :D
  4. I think your assessment about the players is a little off, the team has been good for the last 3 or 4 seasons. wo had a lot of good players lots! bunch of them are going on playing at college. He certainly had an eye for talent and how to put in the right spot. I mean where did the 15-0 kid come from? He had to be grooming that kid for this year. As for parent friendly, well if that is the case then it won't be easy where ever he goes sounds like you have some first hand knowledge. I hope some one puts the news on here soon about any coaching changes if there is any and then everyone can move on.
