  1. The Eagles of Harmony might be making some noise in this district. They really look foward to UIL. They take pride in that. And with no Harlton to knock them out, who knows. Coach Adams has a good program too. New Diana might be a surprise. I'm sorry. Did I say this outloud. This might be worse than Spring Hill having to go against the big three.
  2. I bet coaches love it when their booster club members get on here and repeat what they say in those wonderful meetings they love sooooo much. I wonder what suprises he has in store for everybody? That they had a new linebacker move in from Brumley.
  3. I love it when football season is here. That means it's time for the RYDER CUP. I love it when Tiger tries to beat down on them Brits.
  4. Yeah, Haggerty can coach 'em up. You know, that's what I like about Gladewater, great in track. OH. Wait. This is a thread about Tatum. I'm sorry.
  5. Now that's dang funny right there. I don't care who ya are.
  6. I think the first thing anybody needs to do is understand why teams run the spread. The most important thing it does it create space for players. Its easier to run the ball in the spread with six in the box versus eight. Second, especially in East Texas, teams want to get rid of the ball quickly so defenses don't have time to get to the quarterback. Most teams around here want to cause havoc in the backfield. When Carthage beat Gilmer, all they had to do is rush their front four. They didn't get real cute with their defense. Same for Liberty Hill. If you have the players, it doesn't matter what you run, you can stop it.
  7. Very seldom do you see empty stadiums in East Texas on a Friday night. I will say this. I went to the Gilmer Cuero game last season and have never seen more people at a high school game than what Cuero brought. I was amazing. Dwarfed the number of Gilmer fans.
  8. Called in to THSCA office and reported problem. They said their server was down and will not be back up until sometime Tuesday.
  9. I have seen every team in this district play. It's gonna be tough for all of them. I really feel for Pitt. They lost more than Gilmer and don't really have anything to replace it. Ted Burns could play for anybody. They could've played Carthage better than Graham with that running game. But I really don't think anybody will be able to beat the big three.
  10. Do you think anybody outside of Henderson remembers how well they played Carthage last year. People better look out.
  11. Andy Evans got lucky with a region three gift from the UIL. He better watch out though, one of those teams from district 10 might slip up and give them a one and done. To bad a state championship between Daingerfield and Tatum can't be played in Tyler. I do wonder, with the new memorials that have been erected for him, indoor and such, do you think he has much pressure to perform since they've dropped down?
