Mavchamp-I have said this before and I will say it again, THANKS for all the work you put in to keep us updated. As for recommendations moving forward, any chance you could start one will all involved and then just keep the one Marshall is involved in at the time up to date and hope someone will pick up where Marshall is not involved. Just my thoughts. Not sure anyone can touch the job you have done and I will sure miss it once Football is over and the other sports roll around, but if done this way and some of us will pick it up, it would be nice to follow all of the 5A teams in our area. The pay is so good, maybe you could consider doing it all. Softball: #4 Prosper 2 Mount Pleasant 0. Prosper pitcher was to much for the Lady Tigers. Good season for the Lady Tigers!

Softball: Prosper over Mount Pleasant 5-0 in Game 1.

Softball: MP over Texas High 6-0

Soccer Regional Semis: MP wins over Midlothian 3-1. Play winner of Lake Ridge and Wakeland tomorrow at 12:30 for a trip to State Tourney.

MP Soccer advanced to Regional Tournament with a 2-1 win over Lucas Lovejoy.

Softball: MP over PT, not sure on final. Baseball: PT over MP 15-6, 6 hours and 37 minutes (JK, but it was one ugly game)

Baseball: MP leads Hallsville 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th. Hallsville is batting iwith 2 outs and no one on base. Game will be resumed tomorrow.

That's a tough way to start District! Y'all will be in ball games when the kid who pitched tonight pitches. He was very good tonight and deserved to get the W. He went the distance and didn't allow a hit until the 6th and I believe only allowed 3 hits total. Defense behind him let him down.

I would agree, I had SS winning just based on what I have seen. Really thought they had a chance to make it to SA. This Region has some very good 5A teams, tough to survive. MP played the best they have played all year to beat a very good Little Elm team. The RJ Hampton kid from Little Elm is worth the price of admission over the next two years. He finished the night with 39 and can do it all! Pretty special Sophomore.

Mount Pleasant wins 80-78 over Little Elm. Great game!

Baseball-Mount Pleasant has opened the season 2-0-1. Struggling to find places to play due to weather as everyone is. They beat John Tyler 13-1 early last week and then traveled to Wyle Saturday and tied Wyle 3-3 and beat Carrollton Creekview 10-0.

Star Country 96.9 is carrying the MP game on the radio and you can stream it as well from Easttexasradio.com.

Mount Pleasant had an off night and are very fortunate to still be around. Didn't hit their first 3 until the 4th quarter, foul trouble throughout the contest and did not shoot very well from the FT line. Just an off night, as bad as they have been all year. Hopefully they got that out of their system!

Lucas Lovejoy over MP Lady Tigers 49-27

Very classy group of young men at SS. I have seen them play MP 4 times over the past two seasons and this group doesn't need humility, but they are enjoying another very good season and with good reason.
