I've just been curious. I know track and baseball/softball, but I wouldn't think soccer games would have an impact on those events. Just stinks from my POV because my youngest daughter does basketball and soccer and is pretty good at both and knowing she'll eventually have to choose one over the other in HS.

Why did the UIL decide to have HS soccer season start in January and February when its the coldest time of the year? Seems the most sense would be to start in March and be a spring sport.
