Looking at HS schedule, if they cannot beat Cville they will likely go winless in pre-district. You can't compare now to the seasons with the one point games. HS is getting more kids out now and I think they are a little more talented now as well. Cv doesn't have the same numbers and the talent level isnt even close.

Awesome. I know Coach Bush does a great job over there. Clarksville is looking forward to being in the track district with you all next year. Only team in the district with a track will be Rivercrest. Guess we know where the district meet will be.

The meet consisted primarily of 2A-1A schools. I think PG and Atlanta were the only 3A in attendance. Good luck on results. We attended the meet and I still don't have results:((((((((

The reason for the length of the delay is because water on the floor is not good for safety. One kid in either the boy's or girl's game and for either school slips there and gets hurt... As far as the fans, you mean to tell me there were people at a sporting event who complained about the officials every time a call was made against there team?

Clarksville's schedule had them playing Burkburnett in Gainesville on New Year's Eve. Burkburnett beat Cville by 20+ in the Whataburger. Wonder how much that had to do with them requesting this game?

I think Lone Oak is much better than they were the first week when they lost to Scurry. If you wanna talk about a team playing poorly, it was LO vs. Scurry. LO has 8 returning starters from last year and Scurry has 15. Sometimes inexperienced teams take some time to jell while sometimes experienced teams peak early.

He has definitely not made every defense he plays against look like pop warner. He is a very solid small school qb. Not bashing. He is not Johnny Football lol. He played at Kerrville Tivy against very talented individuals.

Defense was better but you are correct it was against Rivercrest. I think they are getting better. Remember, this team had only 3 returning starters on defense and virtually no experience on Friday night other than those three. Cville has been carried by the last two graduating classes and the kids that are there now didnt get much playing time. Although, I will say this, even with ALL the talent that was there last year there were no shut outs and they gave up 300 yards and 26 points a game. Not exactly what I would call stellar defensive numbers.

Chisum's starting qb played last night against Alba. Great job thus far Alba, but I think your gonna have to do better to beat Edgewood.

Cooper could be a tough match up for Edgewood. The running game can hurt them. Call me old school but I still like hard-nosed defense and a downhill running attack.

What is the deal with Overton this year anyway? After making the playoffs, and winning a game in the playoffs, I know they lost some but really didnt see this coming.

Cooper is clearly the best team in the district followed by Edgewood. Preseason had some people taking Cville 2nd and others had Edgewood 2nd. Only reason anyone picked Cville 2nd was because of the recent success. There is not near the same talent in Cville as the last few years. Those who picked Edgewood 2nd probably did a little more homework. Cville can still take third in this district if they stay healthy and come together soon. As far as the Cville record, neither Cooper nor Edgewood would be any better than 2-2 with Hughes Springs and Daingerfield on the schedule. Cville is most definitely dropping back down to the Honey Grove, Blue Ridge, Wolfe City, Celeste, James Bowie, Trenton, Quinlan Boles etc., etc. division next year and they most likely wont be going back up ever again. Gonna turn in around 170 on snapshot day.

The defense does need to improve but six points in two weeks isnt gonna win many games no matter how well the D plays. The last two games have been played in the opponents end of the field the whole game. I counted 4 of the 5 TD drives beginning in Cville territory last night.

How many of those 5 were actually home grown in Cayuga and Maud?

Interesting thing is that the kids playing offense are the same kids playing defense?????????????

Mt. Pleasant Chapel Hill does not play football. I do not even want to think what the Clarksville basketball program would be like if those kids were in the gym in August.

Congrats to all these young men. Always wonder how these teams are picked? Notice a player from our team on here that has been the second leading tackler on our team for three consecutive seasons behind the same player and they both play inside linebacker. The player who has led our team in tackles for 3 seasons in a row and was our defensive captain isnt listed????????????????????????????

I am looking for small school meets in East Texas. Need high school meet for week of April 1-6. Junior high for weeks of Feb. 25-March 1 and April 1-6.
