To change the subject just a little, why are we spending $93,000,000 for the new test that was developed by one of Rick Perry's buddies? That is not counting what it cost to ship the test to the districts and return the tests. Also, the time that teachers spend giving the test. Save the money and don't have the test.

Much the same as I believe but I think that Carthage will be the second place team and Gilmer fighting off Pittsburg for the third place. Henderson will repeat next year because of their lower grades. They are the best that I have seen in a long time. Gilmer's defense will be stronger from the first game on unless they start to have injuries. Pittsburg will surprise some teams and play everyone tough. They will have a running game this year and expect the defense to be better even with the loss of their two LB's. One LB they have returning is fast and hits with really bad intentions. Overall, the district will live up the the hype and I would like to see Carthage and Henderson move their game to a Saturday!!!!

As much as I like to give Henderson a hard time....they are the team to beat not only in our district but statewide for the next 4 years. Being from Pittsburg I will always pick the Pirates but dang....Henderson is sick good.....If you think that they got hot at the end of last year just wait. All of us better have our big boy uni's on when we play each other.....

I have seen what Henderson has coming up and I have no doubt that they will be the team to beat no Matter Who They Play. Bring on La Marque. I am not from Henderson but I do know just a little about the talent level that they have in the lower grades. It is the best that I have seen in a long time. Don't count out Gilmer because their defense will be much improved and Carthage will be Carthage at the end of the season. Talent level is high in 3A all thru East Texas.

The strongest team that is coming back without a doubt will be Henderson. Their JV and 9th grade were very good. 16-AAA will still be the district to maybe win two titles. Tatum lost too much and will compete but not finish. This was their year. The Daingerfield Tigers will be good but not nearly as good. Losing too much on defense is the problem. Can't wait until August

1. Henderson (good and only going to be much improved and will re-peat) 2. Carthage (still has a lot of talent and will go very deep next year) 3. Gilmer (the best qb in the district next year and they will play better defense) 4. Pittsburg (will play the top three tough and maybe get lucky) 5. Spring Hill 6. Gladewater

Already thinking about next season and I have to admit that Henderson will have to be the team to beat again. Great job Henderson and looking forward to next week and I hope to give congrats to the Dawg's. There is no doubt that we do have the best district in the state and I am talking from top to bottom. Great football.....

One down and one to go.....Way to go Lions. Let's go Dawgs. Where is the best football played? I don't think that there is any doubt now. East Texas football is the best and 16 AAA is the best around East Texas. Now Daingerfield and Paul Pewitt can come thru!!!!!

I really hate to hear that Dandy Don passed away. What memories. I grew up watching him play and loved listening to him and how funny he was.....Thanks.....

I really thought that Tatum was going to win state this year. They were a very good team and I wasn't at the game last night but it is hard for me to believe that Tatum played their best. Yoe won and now The Blue Tigers of Daingerfield will have their shot. Tatum will not nearly be as good next season. This was their chance to win it all. Go Daingerfield. Pitt is pulling for you.
