DeKalb has several arms to choose from this year that are coming along well. very different than the past several years. Not sure if RW is as deep in pitching as they have been in the past. Probably 2-3 good arms this year and heard one of them had some arm issues the other day. haven't seen QC much. Nb has one of the top pitchers in the district and then a couple of others that are doing pretty good. I think offense is going to be the key this year. a lot of teams will have decent pitching for their first 2-3 choices.

preseason is over with. how does everyone see the district playing out starting tomorrow night?

anyone know what is taking place in 3A district 16? do they still have some games left and if so want they have to have them played by tomorrow?

DeKalb always starts slow. coach really evaluates all his possibilities before he sets a more consistent line up. hopefully they will pick it up towards the end. First district game was not a good game to judge dekalb off of. all the other games have been close. I was told NB pitcher threw 142 pitches the other night. I am sorry but I don't think any kid should throw that many pitches. coach should have more concern for his kids than he does for wins.

hope both teams play hard and come out injury free tonight... picking the bears in a MUD FEST!!!!!! there has been plenty of rain and a lot of it has been the slow soaking type so role you shirt sleeves up and get ready for a cold wet game....

heard game has been moved up an hour can anyone confirm.

it is not the speed as much as it is the cut backs that it will effect.

dekalb operates under center. hooks works out of shotgun. advantage dekalb dekalb runs more down hill and little passing. hooks relys on speed and quick cuts and the pass game. advantage dekalb based on normal game night plans. not to say that hooks cant change it up and still be effective, but I can see why dekalb would not have wanted to move the game.

I only hear one side of the fans complaining about the weather. they sell rain suits at walmart. they are only projecting 1-2 inches of rain and as dry as it is it will probably soak it up faster than it can drop it. lol.... football game or not we need the rain.

ground and pound will work to DeKalb's advantage with the offense we run and help neutralize the speed advantage. ball control and turnovers will be a big key if that weather shows up Friday like predicted.

turnovers will determine if this will be a close game or a blowout. I think dekalb will be in this game if they control the ball. cant afford turnovers. DeKalb 28-hooks 22. have to stick with my bears.

if DeKalb keeps the turnovers under control they will pull out the win.

the bye week was a killer. looking forward to some JH and JV football tonight followed by a great game tomorrow night.
