I grew up camping and fishing the Trinity river and then Lake Livingston when it was built and there have been some monster catfish caught out of that river!! My dad and his brother ran nets (when they were legal) and lines commercially and made a pretty good living. Lake Livingston is a great catfish lake but unfortunately most of the other species populations have dropped dramatically. I would guess the weight of the big one to be in the 80lb range! Definitely a keeper!!! LOL!!!

Absolutely right...for the last year and a half my wife and I have been taking care of my wife's father who is almost 90. He suffered three strokes and required 24-7 care. Unfortunately my wife's mom who is 86 and was very sharp is now suffering from early stages of dementia or Alzheimer. The characteristics of this awful disease are slowly robbing her of many of her senses. Evey time I watch the president speak, move or do much of anything else I see the same traits or lack of traits on exhibit. If you have worked with patients suffering from this you know...which is exactly why I detest those close to him and his party for continuing the charade. It is a sad spectacle for sure. But as you said, their age has nothing to do with it...strokes or other diseases are the reason for his dementia.
