Well, the only thing I can assume is you are currently at a bigger/richer school and you make more and you don't have to teach....so stay there.....please

Some of those BB players did not play FB for one reason or the other...

So, Big Sandy's had 4 coaching changes since 2000....so that is an average tenure of 3 years...if you average the tenure of 6 coaches in since 2000 for Overton it is an average tenure of 2 years, not much difference huh?

Thank you for clarification....so many outsiders want to put the school down without any knowledge of the prior circumstances.....smaller schools I think tend to have a higher turn over rate....many moving into administration just as you have mentioned....

Well, that was last year and I guess you're referring to the football field....and I think this has no bearing on what mustangmania was commenting on.... Hmmmmm....West Rusk as not had a home field in two years and their coach is still there, so your argument is without merit...

mustangmania, thank you....very good post... I severed on the Overton school board (a good while back before you came on board) and I think his assessment is pretty spot on...we never hired a coach while I was on the board for 12 years, Coach Clyde ('89 thru '01, 13 years, he left to enter school administration, HS Principal) was here during my tenure...so, I had did not have to experience that phase... If my memory is correct Overton has had 5 coaches since Clyde (Timme, Stringer, Dubose, Robinson, and Talkington)...Dubose spent 3 years as AD/HC and left to become HS principal at Overton I feel as he does, Overton was just a few TD's away from that third playoff spot and just a few small factors played into it not happening and mustangmania stated these...and if they had made the playoffs many (not all) would be quite right now... I played at Overton in the 70's(best we went was 5-5), my son played in the late 90's (was a junior on the '95 semi-final team), and I now have a third generation Mustang coming up next year in Jr. High, my grandson...so I am a Mustang fan...
