  1. Henderson fans have not been mouthing???? whew man this is not the only media site, your Hendo kids and fans have been getting very personal. They are bringing up stuff about the QB and some videos, and anything they can to get in his head. Read the signs Friday night. get the fox sports app
  2. I'm gonna have to pick Center in this game. I feel their youth and inexperience will have Carthage falling all over themselves. Since Carthage will be overlooking there next 4 opponents, I think they may forget to show up for this game. Center kicks some Cdawg tail in the pregame warmup. I hear Tinyha and wahkeen may come over and help.
  3. I am Hoping for a Hallsville win tonight. These kids seem to be better than their 0-3 start. I guess its understandable to be 0-3 with the new coach and system, but I think they will get it right soon. Whitehouse definitely has a strong offense, but they seem to just blow up when they get behind. I certainly believe Hallsville is better than a loss to them. I think Hallsville is going to have to develop some skill players for sure. Pine tree and Hendo should be a good game. I think PT will give Hendo all they want. Hendo has played a very weak Atlanta team, and Pittsburg is loaded with sophmores and juniors and lost a large number of kids from last years team, so Henderson may not have what some people think. I think Kilgore is a contender with Carthage and Gilmer. Hendo, L-E, and PG all looking strong from what I've seen. Any one could be a playoff team in our district 16-5A Marshall did not show me anything in the one game I saw them play, but I'm sure they will be ready by district to contend. I think Hallsville still has a shot at the playoffs if they find a little more offense.
  4. Personally and for my boy's sake I hope Carthage can pull this off, but as far as the top three coaches from Carthage are concerned I hope you get what you all three deserve. Love the Kids No love for the coaches that cussed my boy, was a smart TobinFrost to his momma, and told him he should break up with his girlfriend, who is 100% devoted to him and the love he has for football. You all know who you are and what your trying to do.
  5. The sunshine today is awesome, everything should be great for tomorrow night, but it could be hot.
  6. Who is the one true starter coming back on Carthage o-line? And my earlier comment was not dumb, its called truth with humor. It actually happened!!!
  7. Looks like the weather may not be too bad Friday, but the LOVEBUG has struck in Carthage, cutting short the Monday practice. Seems that a door was left open in the practice "dome" and the lovebugs were hitting hard. I hear several players were taken to the infield care center and treated for infectious lovebugitis. There is some truth to this, but as for the rest, well some of it may be an embellishment. Watch out Bears or the LOVEBUG may come for you!
  8. I have no idea what Gladewater has this year, but it is the first game and it is HS football. That said, Carthage handled Marshall's enormous size last Friday and ran inside and outside with the backups to Ingram. I see Carthage taking the win. IF the weather permits.
  9. Carthage had a good scrimmage, and it appeared to me that the O-line did just fine. Ingram was only in for 3-4 plays and no doubt why he is being touted as the best RB in the state. Carthage will be fine especially in 4A. Appears it could be a long season for Marshall at this point. They can make the playoffs but they won't get past the 1st round. With that said I'm not really a Marshall fan, and looks like this district is gonna be wide open for anyone to win.
  10. Well from an outside perspective regarding Marshall, not real good. Beating Lee next week I seriously doubt it. Their offense did not score in the game or in the controlled part. Their defense ran a fumble back for a score. Those big offensive linemen, not real impressive, lots of work needed. Carthage popped 5-10 yards a play at will against the defense, and when Ingram came in it got real bad real fast for Marshall D. The bad thing is Carthage did not feel that they played all that well. If Marshall is the best team in our area 5A its gonna be a long season again.
  11. I was hoping to make the Hallsville Scrimmage, but went to the Carthage scrimmage instead. My Daughter dates a Bulldawg. So how did Hallsville play and did any particular area standout? O-line, D-line, QB, Running Backs, Receivers, DB's
  12. I was pleased to see that Carthage was good on the O-line and Pitt could not push the d-line around at all. The linebackers were a little overly aggressive going to the ball and occasionally lost the advantage of the angles. The QB was just a little off on timing, but the receivers were excellent and helped him a lot. OVERALL GOOD JOB FOR A FIRST SCRIMMAGE.
  13. Hallsville scrimmages Henderson in Hallsville, no details
  14. No doubt JT is bad TobinFrost program. Athletes falling out of the skys!
  15. Wow it sure did get quiet on here. Where did everyone go?
  16. could not find this thread on the regular sight, thought by posting it may get back to current topics
  17. picking Henderson this year, Don't know what the Rabbits have coming in, not returning much, from a 6-4 team, so I got Hendo by 20 in Atlanta. The Rabbs have a tough district, but Henderson has a tougher one, and are ranked much higher.
  18. Hey folks! It all starts today 7:30 AM, But it might get a little wet outside, so it might be a good inside day.
  19. This has got to be the most talent stacked team you could ask for in 4A. I know a few of these boys and they are just unbelievable for 16,17,18 year olds. Can't wait for the season to start!
  20. Dillon Ebarb is James's Little brother, They were standing next to me a couple of weeks ago and Dillon is a big sucker, appears he could definitely be a force on the o-line. Don't think 5A new guy is gonna show up, he seems to be MIA. Hope he does not let me and lots of others down. I think he could play some ball if he tried. Can't wait to see the whole team on the field.
  21. That new kid from the 5A school 35 miles away will not put the effort out unless he is pushed very hard, so I would say Ebarb will be a strong contender. He says he is ready to play and will call that 5A kid out on the first day. Lots of great sportsmanship and great prospects on that line. I might even have to go watch a practice if I can. I know Austin Gray is fired up and ready to play, and that linebacker corp is incredible. Can't wait to see the Marshall scrimmage on my birthday!!! WOW gonna be good.
  22. I'm going to have to put the order like this. Hope my opinions don't not skew the results. 1. Greenville Sell lots of cars over there 2. Pine Tree well they are a Longview School with lots of tradition 3. Mt. Pleasant They eat a lot of chicken, so lots of Protein = muscle 4. Hallsville Parents got way to much money, can buy wins at summer camps. 5. SS Lots of milk on hand and should be cheap so, again with the protein 6. TH I think the new coach being from metroplex will take them down a peg or two. 7. Marshall Two many good old boy lawyers, slow my business down. Unless Marshall does what everyone is hoping for the district might as well finish like this, we don't need another district season like last year that no one will remember in two years
  23. Well, I'll be the first to say it, recruiting in Hallsville has been really slow. More like we've been here 13 years and never seen it happen, I'm sure we have the money here to do it, but it seems the dang academics get in the way. We moved to Hallsville just so our kids could get a great education, and yes we were given great insight from some folk who were already here, was that recruiting? Really guys, I don't think in this widely shared information world that it is necessary to recruit. These kids and parents know by the time they are 14 where and who they want to play for and for some folks its easy to pick their kid up and move him/her to take advantage of any gift that child may have. Given the facts I'm sure it happens, and who wouldn't want to play for a great coach or in a great program?
  24. Just curious, but everyone seems to be focused on the backs and receivers, I would like some input about the O-line and D-line. by the way Mykel just benched over 400 Pounds a couple of days ago. I know there are some really good linemen and some really big ones, and I hear Surratt expects a 4.9 40 or better from his linemen.
  25. Hallsville vs Frisco Centennial @ 7:30 Friday at Mike Carter Field and again Sat. @ 3:30
