I own 3 of those guns... I have the Remington 742 .30-06 commonly referred to as the Woods master, the Remington 1100, and the Marlin .30-30.... There have been so many rounds shot through the .30-06 that it won't cycle anymore unless you shoot 180 grain rounds or larger. One of these days I'll take it to a gunsmith and get that fixed.

I'm with CC09 here...... while I am pulling for Timpson you can't bet against the region that has been superior to ours year after year!! I sure hope Timpson puts us in the position to where next year we are the region to beat..... but until then...... you can't beat a guy up for giving his opinion...... isn't that what message boards are for????

Until this season I would have welcomed you but unfortunately you and I are in the same position. I've never had a year without a lease until this year due to a very similar predicament as you. It was too late in the year to find another lease. I hunt A LOT.... 4 or 5 days a week every week of season and we hunt Oct thru January so I am really lost as to what to do this time of the year without hunting.....

I went out west and killed a couple in the hill country for freezer filler. Haven't done anything locally this year... Going back to the hill country in January to finish the season.

This looks to be an accurate assessment......... Harmony game planned much better than Newton and their kids are playing with MUCH more fire and determination...
