If a district adds another high school, how does that figure into the realignment? The 800-1000 students don't magically appear. They're pulled from other high schools in the district. So do they just estimate the enrollment numbers based on next fall?

It's almost playoff time. Does anyone know the standings for 11 3A so we can scout the right team?

Some schools don't want a booster club because the school would not decide where the money would go. Boosters may see a need in the weight room but administration wants a new scoreboard. Rather than relinquishing control the school just passes up on potential donations and volunteers.

Good ideas here. People of all economic backgrounds pay (sometimes HUGE sums of money) for their kids to play in AAU, 7-man, club teams, select ball, etc. We can do the same for our kids' school sports. Athletics is not a right, education is.

So does anyone know anything about Clarendon? How much size do they have, are they run and gun, etc.?

While I don't think MaxPreps "what if they played" stuff is very accurate (they make no adjustment for good defensive teams), their rankings usually pan out by the end of the season. Right now they've got Melissa at #63 in the state and Clarksville at #286. That's a huge difference. I'd love to see how it would actually play out. So are they playing or not?
