  1. What offense is HS going to run this year? I heard rumors of a change.
  2. Don't know much about Leonard, but I'm pulling for Dem Bulls! Here we Gooooooooo!
  3. Center has a Micky Reeks. I'll take the Roughriders by 14!
  4. Pitt can pull the upset if the oline play is better than the recent past and the stupid penalties cease. Otherwise, it could be a long night. I'm hoping for the upset. Especially with certain arrogant pot stirrers posting.
  5. No doubt, the game of the week. In Atlanta, I'll say Gladewater pulls away late. 35-14. And Atlanta is good....
  6. BTW, the 4 teams that beat Pitt are 13-1 not counting games against each other. The one loss being a very good Gladewater team to a private school in La. that recruits and has multiple D1's. The other team Pitt beat handily while shorthanded themselves. It's very easy at this point to be disappointed, but put into perspective that only 4 starters had considerable playing time last year on the varsity level and preseason opponents returned many more with experience. I do hope to have a positive outcome this week. W's tend to be the best motivation. I hope we can get another one Friday. NL is 4-1 as well, but hasn't played near the schedule that we or 4 of our other opponents have. I look for a good game and hope each school has safe travels Thur and Fri. Good Luck Pirates
  7. Last week was ugly and disappointing to say the least. Gladewater should get a lot of credit - they are big, strong, and aggressive. They execute well and their coaches appear to be doing a great job with them. They are Sr. heavy (30 plus Sr.s) and their young classes are talented. If they keep working and keep their heads on straight, they will be tough to handle in district and the playoffs. No excuses here, but there were many problems for Pitt last week. 5 varsity players were out, 4 of which were starters. 3 of those 4 should be back this week. The team was going thru the motions and Gladewater took it to us. We had too much in on both sides of the ball and have been 'thinking' and not reacting. Hopefully, scaling back will help that this week. As poor as the execution and effort were, it's not a quick fix. I do think that this team has more talent than we have shown so far. I just hope pride and effort take over sooner rather than later. I will be a little more optimistic if we just compete well this week. There is enough talent to be a completely different and better team this year. We just need to play aggressive and with heart. If we do so, it will be a good game and we are capable of winning. If not .... well we've seen that already!
  8. Can't wait for this one. I hope the scrimmage mistakes begin to iron themselves out. Could get exciting in Ole' Pitchburg this year....Good luck Pirates!
  9. All but one of C.H.'s scores were long passes and it was a long run. C.H. is extremely fast. Pitt had several sustained drives.
  10. C.H. 4-0 in controlled scrimmage. Pitt 3 - C. H. 3 in live half
  11. Actually, it has been since 2008 since Pitt has been in the playoffs in baseball. This year's Sr.s were in 6th grade. Great job kids. You made a ton of improvement this year!!!
