yeah......they are young and still a work in progress so far. They've only played 3 games and alot of newbies starting.

Argyle is leading despite giving up 14 quick points on back to back interceptions and conversions by LE early in the first quarter. Argyle did come back and score one TD late in the first, but the teams have been trading scores on big plays. Argyle scored 28 in the 2nd qtr to take the lead right before the half on a completion to Gonzo in the endzone with 15 secs left after the Argyle D held LE's offense on 4th and one from midfield. So that's the way this game has gone so far......big plays from both offenses and back and forth scoring. Looks like neither defense is able to stop the other's offense. Argyle is getting beat on the corners with the option pitches and LE's speed.

3 secs left and LE runs the ball......Henderson had it and it came out but the half is over. In a wild one here in Sulphur Springs against a very good Liberty Eylau team Argyle 35 Liberty Eylau 28 Halftime

Here it is again a deep throw down the sideline to Watson is knocked away again.

LE still has 15 secs left on the clock and a timeout. A deep throw to Jackson is knocked away incomplete by Will Ramsey.

Dodsen just kicks it deep into the endzone......almost thru the uprights.

That 4th down stand at midfield was a very big defensive stop for Argyle there.

Now this may change the way that Argyle kicks this ball on the kickoff.

They had Kirkpatrick double covered high and low that time. Here comes the play.......3rd and 10 now. Hogeboom throwing to the endzone to Alex Gonzales for the score. Pass was right on the money that time......just a perfect throw. A big big score right before the half. The kick is good with 15 secs left. Now a flag down against LE for PF will mark off 15 yds on the kickoff against LE.

22 secs left now and 3rd down for Argyle.

Hogeboom quickly throws it away to stop the clock. Now a throw to the endzone to Kirkpatrick as he bobbles it and its knocked away.

Handoff to Ferris on a big hole to the 35. Now Hogeboom throws a completion and out of bounds at the 25. Now a first down on that run as the clock is stopped momentarily to reset the chains at the LE 22.

4th and one at the LE 48 and only a little over a minute left in the half. Handoff to White and he is hit behind the line as a wall of Argyle defenders stopped him cold. Argyle will have the ball at midfield with only 59 secs. left.

4th and one......a big play here. They are letting the play clock run down all 25 secs as Roy calls a timeout before it runs down completely. There is no question LE will be going for it here.

From the 43......Roy rolls out right and is forced out of bounds for only one yard. 3rd and long now for LE....Roy back for a throw and it's a qb draw. He's knocked down at the 48 and is short by a couple of yards. It's 4th down now. 1:30 left on the game clock.

Roy hands it off to Henderson who picks up 10 yds for a first down. Henderson is really fast. Roy on a keeper is dropped on the 40 yd line for a loss of a yard.

3:24 left on the Argyle kickoff.....taken at the 2 yd line by Henderson returns it to the 33 yd line. LE has 3 timeouts left and 3:33 left on the clock.

They are wearing me out on this posting business.....LOL.

It's at the LE 14 yd line, but now to Gonzo on that run down to the 5 yd line. Here's Tito Byce on the left side for the score. The kick is good. Tied up again 28-28.

Now Merka gets it down to the 21 and a penalty as he is hit out of bounds. The markoff puts it half the distance to the 10 yd line now. Obvious late hit out of bounds by LE.

Hogeboom throws a quick one to Merka on the sideline for a first down at the LE 35. Now a deep throw down the right side to Kirkpatrick in double coverage, but it's incomplete.

Now another high kick as Gonzo calls the fair catch this time at the 38 and then hit afterward for a PF call against LE......a 15 yd penalty. Now Argyle has the ball on the LE 45.

Roy back to throw and finds White over his shoulder for a great catch and a scoring TD.......just a terrific pass right on the money and the only place the defender couldn't knock it away. The kick is good and we have a really exciting ballgame going on here in Sulphur Springs. LE really has nothing to lose and has come to let it all hang out. LE 28 Argyle 21

At midfield......Roy going for it deep to Watson is caught.....he has a 6-4 frame and there was no way to cover him on that throw. Now down to the 10 yd line. Now Roy is chased and thrown for a big loss back to the 24 yd line.
