  1. Are ya'll really still not over it. Build a bridge guys. I'm sorry that a younger peoples opinion of choking is different from older peoples. To us, when you say someone choked, it's not that big a deal at all. If I ever lose in anything (rarely, ha) I consider it choking. Anyway, love ya'll. I probably won't get on under this name anymore. I don't know who's user name it is, someone left it logged in on one of our computers at work. I don't want them too mad at me.
  2. I like your definition better, but I do think that Jacob and Daniel still know that we were better than Atlanta that year.
  3. I don't think you understand. I am from Gilmer. I grew up in Gilmer. I played for Gilmer. I love Gilmer. I support Gilmer. I just tell it like it was. And yes, Atlanta did outplay us, but no they would not beat have beat us 9 times out of 10. You must not understand how good a coach Jeff Traylor is.
  4. Ask D Mac or Little Man (Manual) if they think they choked in 2003. They do. They didn't prepare for Atlanta enough, which caused them, the best team in the state, to get beat. Ask any single player on the 2006 squad if they blew it. They did. They choked. You can be from Gilmer and still be real about the situation. Don't think your team can't possible blow a game just because they are your team. My definition of choking: Getting beat by someone who is not as good as you. I know this isn't the webster definiton, but it is mine. So, imo, according to my definition, even Gilmer, who is amazing and I support to the fullest, has choked.
  5. My team, Gilmer, choked in each of those years. Gilmer won a state championship with a very average team compared to the team they had in 2003 and 2006 team.
  6. Gilmer did kind of choke in 2003, 2005, and 2006. They lost to teams that they probably would have beaten if it wasn't the playoffs.
  7. Gilmer did kind of choke in 2003, 2005, and 2006. They lost to teams that they probably would have beaten if it wasn't the playoffs.
  8. 2003, Gilmer's best team since Traylor has been around, beat Dangerfield in the playoffs that year 43-0. Dangerfield had suffered a 3 point loss to Atlanta earlier in the season. Therefore, everyone thought, if Atlanta can only beat Dangerfield 6-3, then Gilmer is going to kill Atlanta. We all know how that turned out
