  1. Applications are being taken. No timeline has been published yet.
  2. There will be no "giving it to Rains" they earned it. I believe the district already determined how ties will be broken and it is included in the district minutes. To have a meeting after the season is over and have a vote so you can have a different outcome is absurd.
  3. 6A is a myth like the Lockness Monster and Big Foot. It will never happen because of travel constraints. There has been rumors about the creation of a 6A for 10 years and nothing has happened yet.

  5. That's great to hear! You're always on our hearts and minds and we pray that you continue to have good news in the future.
  6. Rains Lady Cats defeated FW Nolan 69-67 to win the Leonard Holiday Classic.
  7. Yes it happened. It was his junior year at the regional track meet. He slipped when coming out of the blocks (on his hands and knee) and still managed to run around a 10 sec. time. His coach was down at the track after the race arguing with the official for not stopping the race or rerunning the race. The official's response was, "He won the race coach."

  9. I'd Have to say Brownsboro. I'd also have to say with both teams running the spread, and with the game being in Mt. Vernon with possibly the same officials as last week, this game could go either way and could end around midnight.
  10. I read in the tabloids all the time that he has been spotted in the Wal-Mart in West Memphis, Arkansas; and we all know that if it's printed it must be true!:thumbsup:http://www.smoaky.com/forum/images/smilies2/thumbsup.gif
  11. Last year in Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon is celebrating a two-point lead after a pair of free throws with 1.86 seconds remaining in the game. With the Mount Vernon student section jumping, yelling and jingling their keys, Rains gets the inbound past to junior Austin Munsch at a full run near the free-throw line. Munch takes one dribble then takes a shot 10-feet behind the mid-court line. The shot careens off the backboard and touches nothing but net to give Rains a 58-57 win.
