Only one fungoman from what I have seen. New baseball field is real nice though.

Gym is very nice. Will seat plenty of people for a playoff game.

Gary's 9 losses have come to all upper-class teams. Remember they are 1A in basketball. They are young and will take their lumps. But, it's a team I would not want to face in the second half of district.

The only team I haven't seen play in this district is Tenaha and Shelbyville. Tenaha is always pretty good. The top teams I have seen are Martinsville, Beckville, and Joaquin (no particular order). Timpson has athletes, but struggles to score and gets into to foul trouble really easy. Once again I haven't seen Shelbyville or Tenaha.

First off learn how to use the quote button correctly. Second, I don't need to do my research I was apart of those early 2000 Quitman teams. The coaching staff came in and went 5-5, 2-8, and then I believe 8-2, 9-1, 10-0 if I'm off it's by a game or two. Last, I'm very aware of the coaching staffs previous records. He has always taken over 0-10 teams and made them better by the time he has left. Give him time, and quit being so critical of the program he has for less than 6 months.

Are you from Quitman? Or are you a bystander who has seen them play one time? Just curious, and no offense. They have a new coaching staff, and it might take a year or two to get the kids buy into what they are doing. Just my two cents. I'm all about giving the new staff a few years to work their magic. Give them time with kids, and see where they are at next year.

By your theory the Quitman teams from the early 2000's shouldn't have 3-peated as District Champs, or made it to the Regional Semis. Those teams won maybe 2-3 games in JH, and not very many on JV. After those teams they had success with the group that graduated in 2008, and I'm pretty sure they didn't win a whole lot in JH or on JV. Just saying you can't really judge teams on how they do in JH.
