SA will not finish 3rd. They lost the whole line (except Payne) and nearly every skill position. 1-3 wins is a possibility. Sure losses to Grace, Garrison, Deweyville, Tenaha, Alto, WS. Shelbyville has a good squad coming and will be favored. Grapeland, Cushing and Hemphill are in play depending on Twine. Alto is winning the district and it will not be close.

They have a great chance to go 0-10. They could get a streak going and contend for the worst program in Texas.

Katy has never been without significant speed. Adam Taylor was very fast as evidenced in the championship. It definitely is more noticeable in the lower classifications. A good core of about 4-6 players will enable you to win in every sport. There are reapeated examples of a 1A or 2A school dominating all sports with a particular group of kids.

More important? Let me know which team wins without speed..... Katy? Cedar Hill? Lamar? Allen? Cedar Park? Lancaster? Guyer? Georgetown? Stephenville? Navasota? East Bernard? Mildred? Yoe? Freshman group is good w/ 40+ players. They have some speed as well in a very good QB/athlete. I'm on the record.

They will be running the pure double wing just like Joaquin. They have a good sophmore class with some key players and a strong freshman class that will enable them to be competitve. Except for the fact that Katy is the smallest school in the district. Cinco Ranch, Seven Lakes, Taylor, Morton Ranch, and Mayde Creek are larger schools pulling from the same area. CR, SL and Taylor are all higher academic performers. MR and MC have a different demographic but all of the schools have access to the same resources yet only Katy is Katy.

No, I dont "believe that". El Campo is better than Carthage and has a better defense than Carthage. The two teams actually played with each having an equal opportunity to get to the championship game against Stephenville. EC sent Carthage to the house. Carthage would have given up 80 against SV.

He has been wrong about nearly everything that he posted including the schedule. He never really acknowledged that Carthage only beat 4 teams with a winning record, all the way to the last game with EC.As you know ,all teams in the district won their first round games and two of them are still playing. EC beat a 4A district champion and came out of perhaps the toughest district in the state. He now understands the error of his ways.

16-3A was voted the toughest with Gilmer, Kilgore and the rest of the gang. Cathage's district was mediocre other than Carthage.
