  1. Who's the bigger psychopath, the one who you talk about or the one (you) that stalks him and hijacks every thread?
  2. The frog guy brought up an interesting point before the thread was taken down but I want to take it a step further: It's not just TCU that has a chance to be in the BCS, one of the following teams WILL be in a BCS bowl game: #10 Boise State - relying on TCU to lose #11 Houston - Must win out, a loss to Tulsa or Southern Miss and they are done #19 TCU - Must win out and Houston must lose #22 Southern Miss - Must win out and jump TCU in polls A non-AQ team in the BCS bowls doesn't bother when one of those teams is among the best teams. Only one of these teams is barely in the top 10 (Boise) and they have the worst chance of getting in. Meanwhile, these teams will be on the outside looking in: #6 Arkansas - Must beat LSU to have a chance #15 Wisconsin- has no chance to get in #16 Kansas State - has no chance to get in The sad thing is the non-AQ school will likely play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Won't that be exciting!!
  3. That's what makes wrecking the wagon so fun! watching all the riders jump off and run away. It's really quiet satisfying.
  4. What....I couldn't hear you over the new Evinrude we just installed on the Pirate Ship. Hopefully, it will be fully functional by 7:30. If not, I hear the crappie are biting down at Mauldin Landing.
  5. That's mature. Make fun of a kid who was injured playing this great game. That one statement once and for all encompassed your level of intelligence. As the others have said, we are done with you.
  6. What.......did somebody say something about a wagon?????
  7. Well hello Bock! Nice to see someone from the good ole Prep Xtra days of pokin' fun at each other. Lighten up people! I cannot believe we are so politcally correct these days that we can't even poke fun at each other. Isn't that what your smack talk is before a game. What's the difference between talking before or after. Nothing it's supposed to just for the fun of it. Take your shots at the Pirates. Do you really think that the Pirate nation is so sensitive that we, or I will become upset. 2008 was the best season at JB in nearly 20 years. The team lost in the first round to Cayuga. I as a fan will take it. I'm taking you all as seriously as you should take me. I still don't care what you say, making a state championship float with three rounds to play and then losing is funny. If are offended by that, well, then my work here is done.
  8. DISCLAIMER: As stated before, do not take any of this as a jab at the Maud football players or coaches. Great job guys! Now for the post: Are you KIDDING me? As a loyal Pirate fan all my life I'm supposed to be cheering for, and happy if Maud wins a state title? I'm not supposed to have a little smile on my face when they lose? Are you nuts? This is JB and Maud! A RIVALRY! I don't want to listen to how great Maud is doing, because they are my RIVAL. You have those people in your life. You know, that guy at the office that gets on your nerves and you just want to beat him in every thing you do! You may respect what he does. You may respect how hard he works. You do not, however, have to be happy about any of his success. This is like telling Cowboys fans they should celebrate a Redskin championship, an Aggie to be excited about the Longhorns march to a BCS title, a Red Sox follower to wear a pinstripe shirt. Classless? Probably. But you are my rival! I want you to dislike me. You are my RIVAL! I don't blame the Cardinal fans for being a little mouthy and proclaiming how good their team is. I know for a fact that the Pirate Nation would show the same arrogance if we had the same success. And as members of the Pirate Nation we have to take it, I mean results don't lie. For two years it's been state championship this and state championship that. Well, no state championship. As your rival I respect what the team has done, I respect how hard they work, but excuse me if I take a little satisfaction in the lack of a state trophy in the Maud trophy case! :w00t:
  9. It is called smack, now sit back and take some directed at the "DOOM"!
  10. This post was not in any way directed at the Maud players or coaches. This was entirely meant as a shot at the arrogance of the Maud fans. For one solid year we have had to listen and read about superiority of Maud. Although you proclaim respect for opponents you have not shown it. If anyone dare express belief in their own kids and their belief that they could actually beat Maud you openly mocked them. Total respect goes to the Cardinal team. But as far as the fans of Maud, please excuse me as I laugh my buttocks off.
  11. It seems that alot work has to be done in Maud today. Apparently some floats for today's Maud Christmas parade were made applauding Maud's certain victory over Cayuga. Oops! Be strong #22, Pirate Nation is praying for you.
  12. Are you just looking for an argue ment OUT2Prove....... Didn't I say that it was not the refs that decided the game! Didn't I say that the Bearcats had some other players step up! Didn't I say that the Pirates did not do their job in the second half! I explained the play in question. Is there anything in my description that is not fact? Quit being so defensive and learn how to take a compliment to your team.
  13. First of all, do not trivialize the efforts of the two teams by saying the refs decided the game. One bad call out of 75-80 plays does not decide the game. Congrats to Beckville for fighting hard and coming back from a 13-0 deficit. The bearcats had some players step up and perform. The Pirate defense held TJ Adams to 83 yards on 21 carries. Now with that said, the play in question was this: With 7 seconds on the clock before halftime and Beckville down 13-6 they had the ball on the Bowie 35. They ran a post pattern down to the one. It was not a quick route, it almost looked as if the QB checked down to this route because Adams was double covered. The Beckville reciever was tackled at the 1 after catching the ball and taking about two steps. The clock ran out but the refs put one second back on the clock. Now a 34 yard pass route, not tackled immediately, on a secondary route, all in 6 seconds ---- thats pretty good!!!! Beckville scored on the play and missed the extra point making it 13-12 Bowie at the half. Now if Bowie does their job then they win the game, but they allowed the Bearcats to score two more times to win the game.
  14. Being the first time I had ever seen Joaquin last Friday night I really didn't know what to expect. Reading the post on this forum and others can sometimes influence your expectations. What I saw was a class program, from the coaches all the way to the fans in the bleachers. Their kids played hard, without mouthing. The game between JB and the Rams was closer than the score and was very, very physical. Even with this and the playoff intensity the players on both sides just played hard. Good luck Rams, it is easy to root for teams like yours.
  15. I will not take anything away from the Maud football team. They were ready to play and they came and executed a great game plan. Put simply they lined up and kicked butt. I'll also add that if Carlisle is just a speed defense and not a physical defense then they will have problems stopping the Cardinals. As far as the field goal. The coach was doing the right thing before he tried the kick. He was running up the middle. (Although kneeling on the ball would have worked also.) Run one more play up the middle and if it leads to a score so be it. But to try and kick a field goal with 15 seconds left in a 24-6 ballgame is running up the score. You work on the kicking game in practice. Maud has scored alot of points this year, they have had plenty of game situations to work on the kicking game. It was a blatant attempt to run up the score.
