all of these kids went to the State Playoffs. Some went all four years. what are you tring to say. they were not a waste they were very valuable parts of there teams. i can not beleive you would say that about these kids. go back to work.

it is evident you do not scrub toilets but it is also evident you dont coach against joaquin. i will tell you from experience, formations are not the problem it is when you know what is coming and you can do nothing about it. that is the most frustrating thing about defense. the DC that have to scheme joaquin are not scared of formations, True, they are scared that they cannot stop what they know is coming. on the other hand i do know where you are coming from but what that offense eliminates is alot of confusion amongst themselves. very similar to liberty's offense that won back to back state championships. i saw there coach speak at a convention. they threw the ball ten times the whole season the first year they won.

thats the beauty of the offense you dont understand it. again look at my post earlier. Mt put 11 in there and we were still successful. just because you lose a game now and then doesnt mean you THROW your scheme away and start over. that is why joaquin only won a few games before the double wing. dont knock it until you try it.

the week before Mt. had 11 in the box and Joaquin threw no passes. They actually opened it up against Tenaha and threw six passes. you dont have to throw to be successful you just have to execute. joaquin did not execute the way they did against Mt.

Joaquin scared of the pit? I don't think so. If you check the history, the last two Tenaha wins have been at Joaquin. The last time they played in the Pit Joaquin won like 52-14 or something like that. I think the Rams prefer to play at the Pit. Rams 42 Tenaha 14

Don't forget to add that our top athletes succeed in college and therefore make something of themselves. I'm sure if colleges gave "completion/participation certificates", Logansport gradutes would be top notch, but instead they have to work for something and therefore end up back in Logansport. BTW I did see McClure from Tenaha play against the #2 team in the nation Saturday, looks like he found the weightroom.

right now no. we are around 195 last i heard. but anything is possible. people move in and out around here alot. and of course it depends on what the UIL does. # goes up or down. and with the split in class A who knows.

trueblue you are correct. the red iron was re-used. most of the tin was scraped and replaced. was reconfigured then a little as well. in 02 it was extended 20 feet for the addition of new lockers. an addition is needed again. 02 saw 45 to 50 kids in the program. now they have 64 kids involved. 64 lockers in the field house. and they are antisipating 70-75 next year. do not know where they are going to put everyone.

Good point Gus, most people dont like getting pounded on everyday so Joaquin doesnt get very many move ins. And you other good point was how many people from Carthage can go to Beckville and make a difference. Ask anyone in the district...they can tell you. No move-ins = No playoffs for Beckville. I remember one year Beckville had some move-ins from Carthage and they defeated a good Joaquin team, I also think Beckville went 8-2, and didnt make the playoffs. I do remeber the guy in question, he was not on any film before they played Joaquin and he was never seen again. Maybe someone from Beckville could clarify who that young man was, #40, I think. Also the sprint relay team from last year, pretty good i might add, 3 of the 4 were from Carthage, and whats sad is they were proud of it becasue they wore there Carthage Bulldog Tshirts. So t-dub you are right we have no clue how good Beckville can be, guess it depends on how yalls recruiting season goes. This crop from the 08 recruiting class seems seems to have yall going in the right direction this year.

Special Teams: JaDerrick Norris, Joaquin, 1st game on Varsity, had 149 yards on 4 returns, 97 yard return for TD.

I know Joaquin lost but Cole Leflett had a great game. 15 carries 170 yards 1 TD. He also had 17 tackles on defense.

OK, powerhouse is a stretch but they are a decent 2A As far as construction goes, schools districts don't have the money to just start building things or fixing things, hints the stands and the field, til the end of the school year when they have an idea of how much money they will have in the budget. Remember, we are here for education and the students, so thats where the money goes first. After all is done and summer rolls around the schools can now began to look at other things that can be fixed or worked on. The stands are just about complete, the field still needs a little work. As far as the field, what people from the road cant see is the low sports that needed to be fixed. It would have been nice to have this done early in the summer but, do to the much needed rain, about two weeks worth, the crews could not get on the field so we had to wait.

But back to the topic Joaquin usually starts slow but finishes strong... They have a lot coming back on Defense... They will make the playoffs and play Alto in the 1st Round!!!
