EF girls finished the season 26-4, 10-0 in district. They played West Rusk last night in round one EF 57 WR 46.

Should be a competitive district, EF lost a lot of starters but the jv was pretty good, not sure what to expect.

After all the hype last year about Newton... I see the same thing all over again. Either can win it, but don't count Waskom out until the final buzzer.

Difference in the game was Waskom stopping Idalou's second drive and them kicking a FG, that's four points they needed.

Anybody have a score?

Pretty sure the Wildcats will win this one.

Waskom makes good halftime adjustments, definitely a second half team. IMO it will take a stronger second half team to beat them, or a team that can get way ahead and hold on for the second half.

Maybe I should have came to the game WR2009 .....lol.

EF and Waskom will be playing each other for years to come, whether or not their in the same district. Ya'll are looking at this all wrong, this little corner of Texas has produced one State Champion, three finalists, and two semi-finalists to date, all since 1998, that's not bad at all.

I guess Waskom is so good at basketball because they had a head start the previous 20 years maybe.

Cats98, seems to me that more people/players have been going to Waskom than to EF. Ya'll need to send us a thank you note for a long time for Dillon Benton, or ya'll would have been watching Sonora play Newton. LSUTigers, I have been busy and unable to be on as much.

West Rusk has had a great season and I predict they will finish 12-2 with their only loses to Waskom........twice. Good Luck to both teams.

IMO it will take a fast team to beat Waskom don't think a big team will get it done. This will be new territory for Waskom. A little history lesson on playing the same team twice in a season. In 2012 Arp beats EF in the first game 43-13 (30 pt spread) second game EF wins 30-20 Arp was 9-3 on the season. Hughes Springs beats EF 55-14 in first game (41 pt. spread) and EF wins second game 21-14, HS was 12-1 on the season. Not saying results will be the same, just saying to look for possibly a lot closer game the second time around. Only HS scored more points than Arp did on Waskom, and that was before they changed everything around.. Good luck to both teams, I think this will be a great game.

It's ok 13TX, in 2011 EF had one senior on the team, we lost in the first round to Cooper 34-20 I believe after being up 20-7 at the half. Next year we lost in the semi-final to the state champion, nobody thought we would go that far. Next year could be a great year for ya'll, good luck.

I think Arp will give Waskom a better game the next week, teams usually play closer the second time around and I think Arp is getting to where they where supposed to be in the beginning of the season.

All I have to say is bye bye Gunter, want even be close. Well it might be close if they stop and eat at Cracker Barrel.
