  1. IDK about the playing tough for three quarter. You could easily say the two 15 yard penalties and the 15 yard run into the endzone by the BB quarterback with 8 seconds left in the half was a freak score, but hey it's still a score. The second to last CH touchdown was a run by their #4 in the depth chart RB with over 6:00 minutes left in the game, hardly a "cheap one" late in the game, especially considering the ability of the kid playing QB for BB. He is an awesome ball player and was capable of putting the ball in the end zone on any play, given the receivers to get open and catch the ball. The score was 35-21 (14 point, 2 TD difference), when CH took it's first "cheap one late in the game." Considering the way CH had been playing (SLOPPY), and the type of kid leading the other teams huddle (DANGEROUS), I didn't feel comfortable with the 2 nor the 3 TD lead. Have you ever seen the Plano East vs. JT end of game film from 1994? JT had a 41-17 lead with 3 minutes to go and Plano East scored 27 points in the last 3:03, and led 44-41 with 24 seconds left in the game. If it can happen once, then it can happen again. Just for the record, JT returned the final PE kickoff for a TD and went on to win the game. CH looked extremely sloppy and should be embarrassed of their first half play, but after halftime the game was not close at all. BB did hang close for two quarters aided by 4 drive stopping snaps over the QB's head by CH, one of wich was turned over, but CH outscored BB 15-0 in the thrid quarter and 14-7 in the fourth, so after halftime the scoring was distributed 29-7 CH. I would hardly say they played tight ball for three quarters. I was thoroughly embarrassed by the CH fans booing the BB kids in the stands on the other side of the field. They are not an accurate reflection of the character of the CH team.
  2. Everyone should take notes on this. A real fan sticks around even when the season is kind of a downer. Will there be many kids returning next year for the mavs?
  3. +1 I would rather CH lose a WR than the QB that throws to MULTIPLE WR's. (JMO)
  4. +1 wouldn't want to be a honey bee come week ten those dogs are guna have their fly swatters out and ready to pop.
  5. Lee lacks the discipline of doing the "little things" right. The coaching staff is less than average on a good day, and you can't tell me that out of the thousands of kids at lee high school there isn't one kid that can throw a football accurately. Coach owens was not good at building a program, nor was he good at developing talent. They are using the wrong defensive scheme for their personnel (IMO), they have players playing out of position, and the offense doesn't have a playbook or philosophy that fits the personnel they have been delt. They can make plays and put together drives and make defensive stops, but then they give up positives to penalties and turnovers and missed opportunities. It's frustrating for the fans, players, and coaches, but I think a coaching change at the end of this season will be a good idea for lee. Owens wasn't that good, and his leaving this past summer is an opportunity to get new blood in that role.
  6. Everyone that votes for the second and third options in this poll should be tested for this new drug that just hit the streets... It's called homeroine. Some folks would vote for their team to upset the Dallas cowboys. I used that example earlier in the year and it still may be a bad example, but I think I got the point across.
  7. Thanks man... :). I thought this thread could use some expert analysis.:)
  8. Freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior... It really doesn't matter, because they are on VARSITY, which means they should be ready to play the toughest competition an opposing school has. CH made their run last year with a load of juniors, many of which it was their first year in a consistent weekly starting role on the team. At this point everyone has experience, unless they just got bumped into the starting position.
  9. +1 Defense wasn't that good, and offense was way too one dimensional when I watched them.
  10. Pitt will win unless GW scores more points than them. In that case GW would be the winner.
  11. Vans defense will beat Lindale's offense and Lindale's defense will play even with vans offense and so van will win. But not much at all.
  12. It'll be sad if he passed his fever on to some of his teammates. Time will tell.
  13. CH was up by six at the half, which was pathetic and embarrassing no matter what the injury circumstance may be, and then in the last two quarters CH scored 15 and 14 points respectively to brownsboros 7. The dogs also played with out their two best RB's, QB, and sir came out of the game early with an ankle injury. The brownsboro qb is not your average qb, he is very good. They seemed to be lacking in bodies and were a bit undersized in some positions, but then other positions were average at minimum for 3a football. #87 was good on offense, but I feel he would be an asset at DE as well. I can't believe that team hasn't won a game. It's certainly not because of lack of talent or aggression. Next year BB will be back on track. Too good of a program to stay down back to back years.
  14. Don't hate:). CH plays the tougher predistrict:).
  15. He is Matthew's (Big Tuck) little brother. Andrew (Lil Tuck) is not as big and powerful as a runner, and I don't think he is quite as fast, but he plays with more finess, and he gets in at LB on defense some. Should be a great asset to any college team that recruits him.
  16. The CH team has yet to have EVERY starter play in a game together this season.
  17. Nice avatar, horrible prediction!
  18. I was wrong. Carthage just didn't put this one away like I thought they would. I did think it would be a dog fight. Good luck to both teams for the rest of the year.
  19. Well, I have to give credit to Athens for pulling this one out in the long run. I was really hoping Bullard would take this one, and when I checked the scores at halftime they had a 7 point lead, but the better team obviously one.
  20. definately not Huntington or Bullard!! :)
