We've had this conversation before and I understand how you feel. Tell me again where is Chapel Hill located. Same thing with Lee and JT. Before they changed their names to Tyler Legacy and Tyler High they were Robert E. Lee and John Tyler right. People still referred to them as Tyler Lee and Tyler JT. They do that with every school not just Chapel Hill. Every school in Dalllas isd, Houston isd, Garland isd, and etc is not named after the city. They refer to them as Mesquite whatever your name is. Quit taking it personal. Even though Chapel Hill is located in Tyler. Most of the students that go to Chapel Hill live in Tyler I would imagine.

    Take a breath.  It’s a joke!

I did quote you at 1st. You quoted me after I quoted Lindale fan saying what I said thinking I was talking about you. What I said had nothing to do with what I quoted you on. I know you are smarter than this. At least I think you are. But if you take a deep breath you could comprehend what I was talking about that had nothing to do with you.

I was referring to the first quote.  Take a breath.

I wasn't talking about you Stanky. Lindale quoted that an and m guy. I quoted Lindale telling him that lion whatever his name is doesn't know what he is talking about. Go back and read it and then you'll see. So I don't need to take a deep breath. Maybe you should getting all riled up about people putting Tyler in front of C-Hill.

You quoted me vonny.  Go back and look.  But first.  Take a deep breath.

He doesn't know what he is talking about. They do that with every school district.

Take a deep breath Vonny.  I do know what I’m talking about.  I’m not taking it personal.  This isn’t Dallas morning news.  It’s a sports forum where people have to be pretty invested to be posting.  Everyone in here knows which CH is being referenced on this forum.  As much as TylerLindale eagle fan can talk smack constantly I can make a dig at why he’s taking extra effort to put a T in front of CH.

Not a great example. That 20-7 score was early in the second quarter and lasted all of 10 seconds. Game was back and forth after that, with CH blowing an 11 point lead in the last few minutes.

How about this year? CH trailing Lindale and runs pass plays over 60% of the time in the second half. And against Kilgore, once Kilgore is up by two scores, CH again passes over 60% of the time.

Lindale and Kilgore both turned CH into a passing team. And CH lost both games.

I think it’s a great example.  The point is they still ran the ball to get back into the game.  They mixed in many attempts to pass the ball against LBJ, but their success came from running.  CH will not abandon the run game this week.  In the last few years LBJ and Borne outright beat them while CH still played their own game.  The rest of the losses had CH trying different things and failing and I’m sure the coaches have seen that trend.

IC turned them into one. Thurman had 40 yards on 17 carries (2.3ypc). He 2024 yards on 284 carries for the season (7.1ypc).

It may have been the only game that Thurman passed more times than he ran.

Even if the run game isn’t as productive as normal, I don’t see CH throwing the ball much at all.  I’ve seen them down in enough big games to know that they will still rely on the run game.  If it means they lose then so be it, but if you can’t win doing what you’re good at, you probably won’t win doing what you struggle with.

This is absolutely true. They had Thurman dead to rights. He couldn’t do anything. Not only does IC have some ball hawks they swarm to the ball and tackle very well. Some of the best tackling I’ve seen in a while. I just don’t see CH being able to pull this one out. I could wrong but I just feel IC will be too much

At this point CH has to stick with what got them there.  I don’t see them being successful at implementing a new offensive philosophy in one week.  Maybe rework some blocking schemes and add in some new setup plays.  CH typically plays better and better as the playoffs progress.  I’m hopeful they can limit penalties, break some big plays, and make a few stops on defense.  At this point in the season if a game is close, one or two plays decides a win or loss.  One holding call, fumble, missed tackle could send you to basketball.

I can't see Chapel Hill getting by Iowa Colony either, nor do I see Needville getting by Kilgore. But you never know what will happen in the playoffs. A very wise football coach once told me.... "ain't no turkeys left after Thanksgiving".

I fully expect to be headed to a rematch at rose stadium next week.  I also fully expect the winner of that game to win the SC this year.

The reason they went away from the power run was because they were getting smashed every time. I don’t think it was Lindale making bad play calls as much as it was IC just shutting us down. No matter what Lindale did it didn’t work. The first drive we were able to move the ball and then the next pass for a td caught them off guard but they figured it out real quick and that’s all she wrote. I will say the pass to Ward for a td was beautiful. Ward will be a force next year. Tough for the season to end but it was to who could very well be the state champ. I don’t see CH getting past them and if Kilgore gets past Needville it will be an absolute beast of a game against IC in the regional game

That’s what people have been saying for 3 years about CH.

I believe if Lindale, Kilgore or CH had played IC schedule they would be undefeated as well.

That was part of it. They do have a good defense. Surprised me. They’re stout. But we just got away from the power run game. Not sure why. This was as soon as we went up 14-0. But oh well. Solid season. Best of luck to our 9-4A cousins against 12-4A. We’re pulling for you.

I watched a lot of the game film.  I think the coaches realized that 14 wasn’t going to be enough to win and I think they also realized that the typical Lindale run game wasn’t going to be able to keep up, so they tried to mix it up and get another 7.

Your odds of winning increase by 71% when  you go up at least 21-0.

I don’t think they’re a clear cut favorite this year. No Arygle, or LBJ this year. Honestly its Chill or Kilgore to lose.

Kilgore is going to be a very tough team to beat and the path to a SC likely requires CH to beat them twice.   CH just needs to focus on winning each week right now.
