Here's the thing, I liked Tennessee UNTIL they lost Hendon Hooker...then they dropped in quality and ability. All they had done went out the window because he wasn't there. Alabama wasn't that great...they wouldn't have beaten TCU. They barely beat Texas WITHOUT their QB and TCU had theirs...they would have popped them possibly...I mean, you just never know. The point to the final 4 was exactly what we saw, the semi games were the best we ever saw (closest) and we saw results people didn't expect. The same will continue to happen when we get 12 teams with those higher seeds...it'll be trick or treat MF's!!! That's what makes it all fun...

I've just about had enough of Worthy's alligator arms, lack of effort to go after balls, simple drops, simple drops on game changing balls, and as much as anything as a coach a bad attitude. -
I would think that Kelvin Sampson would be an awesome consideration finally at Texas. Second choice, Eric Musselman...both of these guys are top notch and could continue in the vain of being able to use the transfer portal in an incredible way. I think that's 1B - 49.9% or even higher to competing for national championships on a yearly.

I really pray that this is not the direction it all goes...though if you read the three page police report it's worrisome (though she appeared to be the initial aggressor). I honestly believe with the talent a place like Texas can attract with a builder like Beard (the best in the business in my humble opinion) - he could be a consistent national championship winner.

without Hendon Hooker, I had no interest in seeing Tennessee 2.0 backing in...now with him healthy, I'd have enjoyed seeing their firepower.- 110 replies

I think Jeff had the Tech job if he wanted it, but didn't see that as a long term winning option. Tech seems like a school he could have a good record at, but everything in the world would have to break right to get a championship chance. Now that being said, my only issue with him being at UTSA is that without them making a huge jump into like the Big 12 then he's just doing the same...winning big at a little spot...his opportunity to truly shine won't be there. I do think Houston would be a interesting spot...with them coming back into the Big 12. He'd recruit like a monster and UH wants to be a champion...much harder to be overlooked that out in Lubbock. -

sounds like something more lucrative may be coming towards Fritz. ok, where is Coach Prime going to land because surely Jackson State can't continue to hold his/his boy's interest... -

that Tulsa job was opened up for Kinne, I imagine...it had to sink in with them that if they don't fire Montgomery now and get him on their sideline then he'd be on to bigger, better things. -
the eye ball test says the Vols are a level better...if I'm to give an extra nudge for winning a conference title, then the Vols fall to #6 behind a USC and Clemson.

the question for Aggy... where's Max Johnson? he could have done something...unless the offense is just that plain of an A-B-C that daddy Brad just said, "no, we're out"
